In fairness, I've rarely seen a match when he hasn't performed better than Fer.

I think, sitting in the Ellerslie, that I perform better than Three Touch Fer.....

I rate him. He's good at sitting in front of the defence but he's very exposed in our shapeless formation which requires him to sweep up messes and put out fires all over the pitch instead of focussing on his own role. He's the least of our problems in my view. I reckon he'd do a great job in a properly balanced team and it irks me we can't seem to put together anything resembling a cohesive and hardworking team that collectively knows what it's doing.

i have mixed feelings about henry , to often made a scapegoat on here , but i like to see the ball played forward quickly . i like to see my team playing fast entertaining football. henry slows the play down , passes backwards , sideways . play like that when you're winning 2 nil , not when you're chasing a game

I feel for Henry, hes 33 years old, and hes being asked to play right wing then number 10

Hes a limited player who can break up play and play a simple pass. Hes been effective at that his whole career. Its not his fault hes asked to play number 10 or right wing.

He looked quality at right back a few weeks ago, cant see why we didnt give him a run there esp considering perch is unavailable

Shocking thread but I'm in the yes camp

Was poor earlier in season but has improved. Plays where he is good and earns his corn not his fault if he gets shafted like yesterday think he played in five positions

As someone else said plenty worse problems then Henry and if he is s hit then so was Derry who is loved for doing the same role and bring of same ability as Henry

Anywhere further forward and I think he's a little bit of a liability, movement wise. At RB he looked pretty good.
This post is spot on, he does the job required of him. Many more in front of him that need a thread.

At last, a thread to restore my faith in our fans. Played in the right position and given the right game situation he is an asset to the club. Why on earth he should get the abuse he does from some on here and on the other message boards is beyond me. Some of our fans seem to require a target to vent there spleen on. To me it says more about them than Henry.

Dead right, would be my first change for Hull game. Get Ned and Hall back together, our best CB pairing.

i tend to agree...but we need a whipping boy and he is the one...a utility player who has been asked to play in every position except goal. never going to set the world on fire but does well more times than not.
