I remember on the original thread about Les's appointment I said it looked like a fairly cynical ploy by the board to bring in a fans' favourite, insulating the directors from what was then mounting criticism. Never really worked out because Harry didn't respect him and basically seemed to ignore him while he and Ramsey were too alike - both very quiet, neither with front line managerial experience. You saw the buzz around the place when Warnock was briefly in charge.

All that said, there is no proof Les is picking the team. For all we know there are good reasons why the likes of JET are not selected - maybe he turns up drunk or overweight or has had a fight with other players? To be very clear I am not saying he has, just that so much goes on behind the scenes that we don't know about. There may be very good reasons why different managers select one player over another.

Of course I'm giving JFH time. He needs this season at the least - anything less is madness. But the frustration for the fans is where are the signs things are changing or improving under him yet?

As others have said, why is he not starting with a recognised striker at home? Why are we not playing players in the best positions? Why are we only getting 37% possession at home to a poor team in the bottom 7? Why are previously in-form players being dropped for no obvious reason? etc etc...

I did just say that we did not play well today. You love not reading my posts don't you. Ultimately, we would have won had Tozser not made a joke of a tackle. The funniest part of this is that when we play well and lose, everyone says 'oh it doesn't matter, the points are what matter at the end of it' but when we play sh 1te and don't, everyone says 'how can we accept these performances'. Get off your high horses ffs. Stop throwing your toys out the pram and just move on. We have a game on Friday to think about now.

In fact, I'm gonna go on a small rant here regarding some of the #### poor antics I saw and heard at the stadium today regarding a few of our players. The fans were embarrassing at times, ironically clapping Fer and Phillips in particular. I saw Phillips attempt to beat a man and not get past him. He got booed a stupid amount, with some saying he thinks he's too big for us so he can fark off. Less than a minute later, he got the ball, exact same position and knew that if he didn't beat the man, the fans would be on him even worse than last time. Imagine that as a player, knowing that no matter what you do, if you don't rainbow flick it past your man, you get abused. He decided to cut in and had no options. The ball was lost and he got booed anyway.

Same happened with Leroy. He wasn't good today, not at all, seemed slow, unadjusted to his position and unaware of where to be. With that being said, when every single touch he took was one touch closer to being booed and abused by fans, why would he put in any effort? Because he's getting paid to do so? I got paid a fairly decent amount to work one month in the summer for a good company. I was ecstatic to be involved and would do anything to work for them in the future. Even still, I went through a period where I just didn't want to work at all simply out of fear of scrutiny. Its natural for humans, its psychology, this is how people work. No matter how much money you make, if you get constant abuse for everything you do, why bother trying? Instead, we should support him. A professional player (writes books under the pseudonym 'The Secret Footballer') once said that the most important staff member for the players is the psychologist. With fans like ours, I don't have to wonder why. Its clear as day.

Finally, I saw Clint make quite a few silly and unnecessary decisions that could have been avoided. Did I hear one bit of abuse for him? No, because fans don't see him as a scapegoat. They see Leroy and Phillips as scapegoats because they're easy targets. They're getting paid a decent amount (although Phillips is apparently on standard championship wages given that we signed him in the championship) and they are at times inconsistent. But so is the rest of the team. So I actually do feel for them quite a bit given the situation some fans put them in.

We have a starting 11 of 8 defensive players including gk. Of the 3 attackers 2are wingers (Phillips hoillet) the other is a cheat or not as good as we think or is out of form/ lacks confidence depending on who you talk to. I have seen us line up 5 times this season without a recognised striker on the pitch and to be honest I'm getting pretty fed up with it. Not a fan of JET but surely you have to start him or polter ... Personally would like to see Henry toszer and fer binned totally. The feeling when JFH took over on the back of the Reading was push for play offs but relegation looks as likely as promotion at the minute ( no I don't think we are going down). I just want to see us have a proper go at home 4-4-2 where everyone knows their job Sandro and Ali holding the midfield and our full backs getting on a bit..as for sir les being a Rangers man...full on ###
