Bit concerned we have a Technical Director as well as a Director of Football. I believe after what happened with CR and his time as manager he shouldn't be involved with first team matters. The football was shite, half the signing were rubbish and I don't think he ever had the dressing room on his side. And, JFH replaced CR so how is his input into first team matters of any value??

spot on I agree totally have always said that the DOF is bad for this club, as for your last sentence I couldn't have put it better, he couldn't tell a good player when they were in front of him and he was in charge, I've always said the DOF has to go he was responsible for that debarcle, I think a lot of people are getting his playing status mixed up with his status and credentials for running a football club of which he has none

ramsey was given more than enough time to get things right on the pitch, he lacked passion and drive . his comments after defeats proved his knowledge of tactics were basic at best . his subs never made sense at times . as a club we need to move on, ramsey is the past he has loser written all over his boat . i wouldn't have him has sponge and bucket man he'd probably drop the sponge

Does anyone actually know what a Technical Director's remit is? Everyone seems to be going mental over one line in a newspaper article about loan players.

The only other clubs who have/had technical directors are Chelsea and Spurs. Quoting directly from Chelsea's website regarding Emenalo...

"Supports the work of the first team manager, leading the clubs international and domestic scouting network, and assists in driving programmes of our Academy and international youth network."

Now if (and I get that it's a big if) Ramsay has that role with us then, given his reputation and work before taking our manager role I would be absolutely delighted, more than that actually. It would signal we have a proper chance of establishing a scouting network and youth academy structure that has been sorely lacking.
