JFH pressing game will mean the players have to be fit, we'll be seeing a lot more running around and closing down...something we haven't seen in god knows how long."When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

Actions always speak louder than words when it comes to players talking about the new gaffer.
Getting fit and working when the ball is lost will improve things.
But unless we learn how to keep the ball ourselves and open teams up we're going nowhere. Sooner or later we have to get some creativity at 10 or attacking midfield.

Interesting that Klopp apparently is having second thoughts about being able to maintain the pressing game in English football, because with so many competitive matches it's hard for the players to keep playing at such a high tempo. Easier in the German and Spanish Leagues where only 3 or 4 teams count, with the rest just making up the numbers. Guess Jimmy knows what he's doing - at least his brand of football has been tried in the lower divisions.

Always thought that pressing isn't really a strategy that works in S.Europe, not least because of the climate. Whatever, it is really important that other aspects of our game improve alongside fitness.
