  • Chaz - Is he the best QPR striker you have seen?

Being a young 29 I got to say I think Charlie's my favourite QPR striker and the best I have seen. Such a natural talent who just knows how to finish and put the ball in the back of the net. Its been a pleasure having him at Loftus Road

It got me thinking is he the best striker I have seen down Loftus Road since I started supporting the club 25 + years ago. It was a toss up between him and Ferdinand for me personally but I think i'd give the nod to chaz.

I also really rated Gallen, loved the bloke and gutted for him when that injury struck so early in his career.

Who do you guys rate as the best striker you have seen down Loftus Road since you started supporting us and how highly do you rate charlie?

I reckon my top 5 would be -

    1, Austin,
    2, Ferdinand
    3, Gallen
    4, Furlong
5, Remy - Controversial as was with a short time but he was different gravy. If he had stayed with us he'd be near the top.

In the time I've watched QPR, there haven't been that many really really good strikers. Ferdinand has always been my favourite though. I think in that time I've only seen 3 that have hit the 20-goal mark in a season. For me, my top 5 is
          Ferdinand
          Austin
          Kevin Gallen
          Heidar Helguson
          Paul Furlong

EDIT: Sacrilege I know, but I forgot about Gallen and Furlong. That is shocking.
Special mentions to Andy Thomson and Dexter Blackstock who I really liked.

I reckon his goals per game is well up there and not just for Rs. Allen and Goddard....good times.

                Colin Clarke anyone?😂
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I'm 25, by far the best striker we've had in my memorable life time. Agree ref Remy too, great player.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Would you call Rodney a striker Super? More so than Stan I suppose but back in Rodney's days with us we played 5 forwards, old style.

He never scored more than 20 for us in the league and only once did he manage it if you include cup games.
I think for instinctive goalscorers it's difficult to choose between Clive Allen and Charlie.

Top players, but for people I personally have watched in a Hoops shirt I could only say this. (IMHO)

                              1. Charlie Austin - Superb finisher and goals per game ratio is unreal.
                              2. Sir Les - Say no more
                              3. Helguson - Had two superb seasons and took us up, loved the guy.
                              4. Gallen - The magic hat, criminal that he never scored over 100 goals for us.
                              5. Furlong - Turned into a cult legend at Loftus Road.
