...before the inevitable myopic criticisms appear.

Rob Green was NOT at fault for their second goal for four reasons:

    1) He was unsighted
    2) Took a nasty deflection
    3) Very skiddy surface
    4) Bounced just in front of him and the spin changed the direction.

Looked at fault from the Ellerslie. Though Kelvin was very slow closing the player down. Sandro wouldnt have let him get a shot off.

Was not the greatest goalkeeping in the world and 100% should be doing better.

the deflection was 30 odd yards out. he had time to put the farking kettle on before diving to save it. as for skiddy surface, it did not effect stockdale.

Either way he still doesn't fill me with confidence. The fact our defensive record is so good the last 8-9 games is partly down to him so not the time for anyone to be jumping on his back.

You guys need to watch the sky replays.

He was totally unsighted (not to mention the aforementioned).

Extremely harsh to criticise him for it IMHO.

??? It was a slight deflection 30 yards out and went under him. Awful mistake.

He wasn't unsighted. There was noone between hall 30 yards out and him in goal. ####ing awful mistake, ball went in the middle of the goal. Stockdale would've thrown his cap on that.

Ive seen the replay and still think he should of done better...

Think it was a very weak goal. Agree he was slightly unsighted but his reactions were far to slow from that distance out.

You would expect a keeper like green to save shots like that 7/8 times out of 10. Unfortunately for us tonight it was the 2 out of 10 times when he balls it up and it cost us.

Haven't seen a replay Stan but according to my pal he said Austin said in his interview 'Greeny' would of wanted to do better? That says a lot if true.

He should definitely have done better tbh it was poor but oh well life goes on. Great game tonight! Not going to be putting a downer on it by Green bashing.

Focus on the positives tonight and there were plenty. Green wasn't one of them.

Not easy but he has gotta block it IMO. Should at least get something on it and give the defence a chance to clear the rebound.

Main thing to take from the game is the way we played. The team spirit to comer back against a very good defensive outfit who are top of the league.

Play like that against most teams and we will seriously push on.
