  • Special mention for the Back Four

Super turnaround from Birmingham shipping goals week in week out to tighter then a ducks a rsehole. 3goals conceded in 9 games is some record

Back four now looks solid, organised and most importantly confident. They're doing the basics now of clearing lines when needed and keeping it when time is right.

Ned looks a different player, Hall goes from strength to strength, Perch has come on and Konc as a defender does his job well.

If we can keep shutting sides out and start nicking one at the other end were in business

thinking how good our defence looks now myself West. Not much more to add to your assessments of the back four. Plus Faurlin and Sandro have played well recently too. The strange thing is scoring goals has now become the problem
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

Sandro doing 90mins week in week out now and seems to be enjoying his football. He's a very very good player

I guess the real test will be against Brighton to see how good they are, and of course Bobby Z !!

Or, now we know how long it takes a team to start gelling

Very well, as I mentioned in another thread. Much improved over the last 4 or 5 games since the back 4 has been unchanged.

Thanks, Stanley. The Wigan fans said he was an overall solid player.

Can't underestimate the effect of Faurlin and Sandro doing their jobs of staying with the midfield runners...this means that the centre backs can look after their men without worrying who else is unmarked.

The defense were excellent again. Special mention from me goes to Perch and Konchesky. Both were much much better, particularly Perch. He's gone from strength to strength the last few games. Strange you don't see many of his knockers now giving him credit eh?

Quality once again, I say this every week it seems
                              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO
