A summary of the main points for those without access:
- Confirmed it was 12 candidates who were interviewed, that were then whittled down to 3, with JFH eventually being the outstanding one. The process was done quietly and privately behind the scenes. Very mindful to avoid it being played out in public, no more QPR circus etc.
- With the squad we have he confirmed that play-offs is still the target, and was the reason why CR was let go. But he stressed that JFH would not be harshly judged if that isn't achieved this season.
- Neil told Les and TF that he'd commit to the club for 8 weeks the day after CR was sacked, which gave them the time to find the right man without having to make a rushed appointment.
- Limited funds will be made available in January but only if needed for minor tweaks to the squad - nothing major and no more spending for the sake of it.
- Explained the reasoning behind the rolling contract. The days of handing out long contracts to managers are over. It's more about the long-term vision and philosophy of the club and having managers fit in to that. JFH agreed and wanted the same.
