We just don't know what NW did or didn't want - conflicting things have emerged.
But he has done a brilliant job imo and is proven at this level. My guess he would have stayed to the end of term. The powers that be decided he was surplus to requirements. Problem is, their requirements change every three weeks or so.

I think that JFH was the best of the external contenders. However NW was my number 1 pick, and I was hoping that somehow he would stay to the end of the season, and if we got promoted, he would stick around for one year in the premiership.
I am giving JFH until New Years Day, if he hasn't won once by then, then the knives will be out, but as long as he is doing ok then I will be happy to support him until the end of the season

as much as i like him , his passion for the club etc etc...this has to be the right move long term..but we need to back the new manager and not turn on him when things don't go our way as seems to be what has happened of late....

Or we just supposed to ignore that and all believe he was lying.

I cannot think of a more ridiculous way to plan for the future of the club, yet several people seem happy to suggest it and will no doubt be the first to heap more unwarranted criticism on the board, should things not immediately turn to gold.
In fact, I'm getting so fed up with the constant trolling by some, that I wonder why they bother coming on here. Yes, the owners have made mistakes, big ones. So have several managers. So have several players. Not sure how incessantly banging on about the same thing is going to be in any way productive.
As for JFH, how people cannot be excited about potentially the best managerial appointment of ours this century, is simply staggering.
