Why wait to announce something that's already been announced?

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be appointed head coach of Queens Park Rangers on Friday, according to Sky sources. It is understood that talks with club officials on Thursday were positive and a compensation figure has been agreed with Burton Albion. Hasselbaink's assistant, David Oldfield, at the Pirelli Stadium will join him at Loftus Road.

Am liking the cut of his jibb. Plus if he can bring a great footballing philosophy to the club, I cannot wait to watch some beautiful football at W12.

As long as he gets us to be able to win matches, no matter how at first, I'll be happy! A good example is today's/yesterday's match, not pretty at all but most Ranger fans are very pleased, the beautiful football will come eventually with this guy, at least that's my hope!

Hasslebaink: Burton My Barcelona - Wonderful Documentary For Football Fans

As a football fan first and foremost, I am so glad we have someone coming in trying to have a beautiful football philosophy. I don't care if we lose initially, this is what I pay money for to see great football and hopefully from my local team; The Rs.

So am not going to get on JFH's back, Oldfield's back or Uncle Tony's back - because I have longed for beautiful football from The Hoops since the 70s and 80s which some of youse have kindly told us about - and now is the chance with JFH to recreate pure football. Love it.

Am so looking forward to watching QPR now. May The Force Be With Us!

I hope people do not moan when they anounce it's a three year deal, cos he wouldn't take the job for anything less, he wants to rebuild the team in a long term plan.

People already are writing him off completely, a 3 year deal will have them calling the Samaritans.
