That Maybe because of our style of play, Angella wasn't a fit at the time and the constant rotation of players around Onuoha meant that no one was really settled. The man can only do his job, not the job of 4 or 5 other defensive players. For example, Karl Henry meant that the volume of chances being created by the opposition was heightened significantly. Onuoha can only do so much when you have such incompetence ahead of you.
Lol.. Ok Nas, you win again. Onouha is fantastic.

Actually, I didn't question your suggestion of his lack of leadership but I questioned how you think that makes him a worse defender. If he does his job and breaks down attacks, I couldn't care less who he talks to on the pitch, as Matty says, the captain role really doesn't matter anymore. Wayne Rooney is the captain of the national team but I wouldn't say he has amazing Leadership Skills. Onuoha is well respected in the dressing room, that's good enough for me.

          If you say so statto

Kind of means a lot to me a club captain that's mute, but each to their own.

Does that make him a bad defender? No it doesn't really. It does make him a worse captain to a degree but I think that is another point.

                    He was brilliant tonight.

Well done Chief. Great performance & another clean sheet. Ramsey didn't have a clue regarding our defence did he.

Didn't make any tackles, but he didn't need to. Watched the whole game and his positioning was quite brilliant. Another 5 interceptions, 5 Aerial duels won, good attacking awareness. If he had better composure, could have had 2 or even a hattrick but I won't complain. Another key thing is finally good passing from the central defence. Simple balls forward to the middle man in Faurlin and that set us up well.

Fair play to praise chief after you hammered him. Some people carry on.
