How many more seasons in the championship must we spend before that particular penny finally drops?
I seem to recall Foolham splashing the cash like there was no tomorrow in order to get to the premiership, and it worked.
There really is no point in this eternal quest to put the cart before the horse, crowds will go up when the team is successful, especially when you consider the silly prices the club is asking cash-strapped fans to part with in order to watch championship football, and not before. Therefore, the board at Loftus Rd must speculate in order to accumulate, a tad old fashioned I know, but as true now as it's ever been.

Ahem............we already are in the Championship...........
    They seek him here.................

The question to ask is what will encourage more and more people to come back to Loftus Road. SIMPLE ANSWER.

SUCCESS AND QUALITY PLAYERS PLAYING GOOD FOOTBALL. How do we get there, BY SPENDING SOME OF THAT HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY THEY HAVE.

unfortunately that's where the problem lies, just not good enough

QBP quotes £10M spent on players (then says it was around £6M) :what:

other then Buz, Cerny (yes he's won me over) Routledge, Connolly & possibly Legs the rest have been just not on the radar, can't be R'sd to name them all, but i'm sure someone will

4 or 5 good signings & around 20 pony ones, just isn't good enough I'm afraid

until we get a decent DOF in or just let Madge pick his own players, we will be....................as we are

Well the money hasn't been spent well because:

                      1) The manager could never bring in his own players.
                      2) We have Paladini the agent man to bring in the players he wants, who may or may not benefit the team.
                      3) We never really brought in any players of high calibre, we bought £5m worth of duds... Hall, Helguson, Agyemang, Faurlin, Mahon, Delaney etc...

Lets be honest, the only players we bought that were great were Buzsaky, Routledge and Connolly.... thats it... over a period of 2 years thats a poor record considering who we could had brought in so the board can only blame themselves, they should had brought in the right manager to begin with and let him build his own squad (over time).

Also the best players are loans.

You could add Cerny, Legs, Gorkks, Vine (pre-injury) to that list...but I take your point.

end of the day, many compare us to Fulham and quite understandably don't know Fulham's history too well.

When in the championship Fulham bought one player for around 10 million called mahler??, who was actually useless.

In Division 2 (old), they got 4,000 crowds, when they moved into the championship they got around 10,000 crowds, the two years it took them to go up, the crowds increased to around 16-18,000. They started from a lower support base then us. Now, in the premiership they get 22-25,000 crowds, exactly the same thing will happen to us.

We still get 12,000 crowds because of where we are, all of sudden the armchair supporters will suddenly find a reason to go down to Rangers Stadium if we look like going up. Thats football and not just isolated to QPR. All this "its too expensive" for some is a genuine reason, but for others its a smokescreen and used an excuse. Put simply you can watch your favourite team for £20 or £25 and that compares favourably to other championship clubs. Its the season ticket holders that have been ripped off, because roughly you get 2 games free throughout the season.

This impatience to do well continues to bug me. The one man who invested time and money into the club in Flavio Briartore, is now being lambasted by fans and some cannot wait to see the back of him, because end of the day promotion has not happened quick enough for you. Well, its not an easy division to get of and its only been just over two years since the takeover. Okay, they made mistakes along the way, and who wouldn't.

Its too much what the fans want and it backfired once before with Chris Wright, who was regarded as our saviour and b.uggered up the club big time. Maybe if we let the club get on with things without us keep digging them at every first opportunity, they may do better than what they are

Rubbish. The reason the majority turned against Flav was the increase in ticket prices, and the indirect consequences that had, i.e. forcing people to give up seats they'd held for years so they could still afford to go. Most believe that the guy is running the club for his convenience, and with little or no regard for the fans. Yet they are not so inconsequential that the opportunity to fleece them is ignored.

If you don't believe me, stick a poll up and get it confirmed:

Why do you want Flav out

a - because he is responsible for fleecing the fans
b - because promotion isn't happening quick enough

                              not rubbish.

We'd take it on the chin if we were top of the league.

Paying more for season tickets should mean we are higher in the league and the fact we are not leads to frustration and we find someone to be a scapegoat and this recent case in F1 helps enormously, because now we have a reason. The bloke was getting booed by one or two fans last season and many came to his defence, now as time develops and we don't seem to be making progress ( I think we are), it becomes easier for more to join the rolling bandwagon.
