...would be facing the boot if he'd put real money into QPR and acted more responsibily (ie not sacking so many managers, allegedly picking the team etc)? Seems to me the football league are under pressure to show they can be tough, but this is largely because they have let so many big boys off. If he had invested big and either taken us up or looked like he was about to and had come across as a little less mad in his football dealings I just wonder if the league wouldn't have taken the view he was "untouchable" and found some convenient loop-hole for him, as they have with others. As it is he is the perfect fall guy for them - famous, not well liked and in footballing terms not that powerful.
