My only memory is it being used as a car park for R's matches when my dad took us as kids in the 70's.

Did anyone ever see QPR play at White City Stadium?

Can remember going there a few times with my Dad as a small kid. Loved it as I could see easily, though suspect as an adult I would have found it rather soulless due to distance from pitch, greyhound/athletics track and small crowd in huge stadium.

This morning's tempest I have to cross

I also recall White City being used for away fan coaches at some point.Minds Are Like Parachutes.

It was available to buy in the 80s but it was wrong time and owners. Had it been available now....

was a tic tac man at the dogs.
That first trip was against Hull City but was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch I remember it
well amazingly the ground was massive and had a fantastic main stand allthogh covered all round.
Went to some games after that but we moved back HOME due to financial problems.
Not much changes thinking about it

I used to work there on the Tote for the dogs. Greyhound Derby night was pretty smart - 20,000 drunk punters gave it a special atmosphere - roar that went up as hare came round to the traps knocks the spots off any crowd noise I've ever heard at footy. It was a ramshackle dump but the low roof and bowl like shape didn't half create a din.
