Clearly he's a talented man, but are his ideas just a bit too high-brow and theoretical, when we also need a large pinch of old-fashioned blood and guts management, and some steely pragmatism. Seeing Curbs mentioned at Fulham in relation to Pearson taking up the role there made me think he'd be more of the kind of manager I'd like at QPR. I'm just not sure I can see Rodgers fitting in to our mad structure... I think it needs the level headed thinking of someone like Curbishley to really get to grips with this club and put it back on course...
Always wanted Curbishley to come to us but he has been out of a top job for too long now for me to get excited about him. Just the sort we need but from 15 years ago not now.

    • Is Curbishley more attackminded than Rodgers? I just wonder.

He would be, and I think Moyes would also be good for us as well.

        • I'd love Rogers providing the club and fans gave him time . Just look at the football Swansea were playing . It only went #### up at Liverpool when he lost suarez and let's be honest most managers would struggle when you suddenly lose 30 goals a year plus the assists . Some of his signings leave a little to be desired but if we played the game half as well as Swansea do is be over the bloody moon . Just needs time and we don't allow anyone that

Rodgers or Moyes won't be in High Demand for any so called Big Clubs at the moment.
These 2 won't want to be out of the game for long either, and could easily turn things around here.

Don't think either would really see us as a step down, but more of a challenge considering our previous seasons.

            • Would be over the moon with Rogers, sadly think we're too small for him
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

What's available for him though at moment?

Yeah agree . They both could do with taking a step back and getting back to what they are good at . Both have great track records I'd take either

                  • Any of the three proven prem managers would be amazing imo. All very good in their own right.

                      • Rodgers 2/1 across the board. Would be absolutley ecstatic with this appointment, proper long term vision.

                        1. Rodgers
                        2. Moyes
                        3. Pearson

But tbh, I'd be delighted with any of those 3.

Why not? Where else is he gonna go?

Why not? Redknapp was in the Champions league with Spurs and finished in the top 5 most seasons.

I don't for a minute believe that Rodgers is too big for anyone
