Yeh, scored 2 goals less than us that season with less than half our budget. Also comfortable established them in the Premier the next year while we scratched around at the bottom.

Some high and mighty names being bandied about. With the debt apparently written off and Tony in a "#### YOU" sort of mood on Twitter, I wouldn't put it past him.

Can't see it myself, more likely Pearson or some other out of favour ex manager or a n00b again. Who ####in knows?!!?

Thing is he hasn't even been linked to us. This is all just speculation on someone on twitter saying he was on a train in London. Probably nothing to do with us. And as i said at the beginning of this thread i saw that first picture of him a few weeks back on twitter.

Having said that IF he were properly linked and interviewed i would love him at LR. just can't see it though.

easily the most boring, negative dull, lifeless, football I have ever witnessed was his Swansea side at HQ the year we were both promoted.

Made a Ramsey side look like an Arsenal side on top form.

Never seen a team knock the ball sideways and backwards so much in my life.

Remember on the stroke of half time, literally seconds to go, they had a free kick on the half way line and was well worth a punt into the box and see if someone could get on the end of it. They knocked it back to their keeper.!!

Up in the Prem I remember how everyone raved about Swansea-lona and their incredible amount of pass completions and possession stats. So what.

Also remember when they played Newcastle and had 72% possession and lost 2 nil.
Next game was against us and had I think 69% possession and we won 3 nil.

Never seen what all the fuss was With Rodgers and doubt he thinks us worthy of his services anyway.
Was that the Boxing Day game we eventually won 4 - 0? If so I never go downstairs before half time but I was so bored I went down a few mins early and from memory we scored, don't really know if I'd be happy or not with him.

Nah it was in the second half of the season, the same game Taye Taiwo rugby tackled Danny Graham.

Another barnstorming performance from diakite that day from memory. If only we could sort him out.

If the ex-Anfield chief moves to the area he would be in a prime position for a London club - with Chelsea's Stoke D'Abernon pitches minutes away

Heck of a player when on song mate, just a pity he seems to have problems holding him back.

Would be quality alongside Faurlin. If only we could get a manager who could get the best out of him....

I remember the game, we won with an Akos free kick and a Mackie screamer. The thing is though, even then Rodgers was trying to implement a particular style of play. The players he had then weren't quite capable enough, hence passing around the back 4 but it eventually worked and they have evolved into a very good footballing side now.
