Please No, the man's a myth talked up by Mourinho. Decent time at Swansea but that apart he's bang average at best.

He is a damn sight better than Ramsey though :-)

Spent £290m on transfers recouped just over £200m on sales in 3 years at Liverpool, so -£90m over 3 years, that's basically Benteke, Firminho and Lovren.

In that 3 years he's took Liverpool to the nearest they've been to the Premier League title ever and Champions League football.

Took Swansea up on a budget playing great football, is clearly a class coach.

People still turning their noses up at him. Mad.

I'd be over the moon if we get a class manager like him on a long-term contract with a remit to overhaul everything on the playing side of the club.

We are QPR, and someone like Rodgers would be an amazing appointment.

Yeh but the spending is a stick that people use to beat him with. Fact is he spent £290 over 3 seasons, got over £200m back in sales thats £30m net a year, hardly a massive sum for a club the size of Liverpool. Also he has signed young players for big money (Markovic, Luis Alberto, Apras, Illori) who are all out on loan getting experience so there's the £90m right there for you.

He made big money mistakes for sure, Balotelli being one, I just think he's a top class coach and plays football the right way. Would be a fantastic appointment for Qpr (not that I would think he'd take the job....)

                      More chance of Kenny Rodgers.

The guy is a brilliant coach - and wasn't given a chance to steady the ship after rat-boy left.

Personally, not sure about Rodgers but any comments regarding the transfer policy at Liverpool need clarification.

Transfers were only partially influenced by Rodgers, they are a moneyball club and some stat obsessed, pc jockey had just as much influence so not totally in his control.
