Tbf mate the when the present lot took over we were debt free and in the Premier League.

I don't want TF to sell up as you never know who has his eye on the real estate or what, and whatever mistakes Fernandes had made, and he's made loads he always seemed to have Qpr at heart. Who knows what the next guy wants?

Great news if as appears weve written off zillions. That can only be good for the club.

Sadly, I am not a walking phone book for all multi-millionaires in London with an interest in football. If he can't find a buyer then clearly we are stuck with him, but I would hazard a guess (for all the reasons that have been mentioned beforehand) that we will be an enticing investment for a number of people with more money than sense.

If they do leave, it will mean someone has bought us
Banning people is no longer my hobby,

it shouldn't have to be about spending money, but the immediate challenge is about sorting out the club's cost base. if tf and co are on their way, then their most lasting legacy will be that our spending is outweighing our income.

we've made a start on addressing this, but all the signs are that it's only a start, we still have players on big wages, we are still writing down big transfer fees etc etc.

even if the £180m conversion of debt to equity covered all our stakeholder debt, that would still mean that we needed an extra £22m in loans on top of the £65m tv money we received to keep going, that's £87m in total (ignoring gate receipts, merchandise, sponsorship etc). this season, the tv income will drop by about £38m... even with all the changes in playing staff, it's clear we'll need lots of cash pumped into us to stay afloat in the short term.

          • Just to clarify we are nowhere near debt free , we have a board that is willing to write off debt we also have loans to outside financial company's , this ownership holds a lot of the debt but we are in debt to banks to, we keep our heads above water because of TF and the board, without him and co we have to find another oil sheik or Russian billionaire , and there aren't that many out there that would through money at little old qpr , London based or not, Chelsea yes , Man City yes but Qpr?

Fair enough bakes. My biggest concern is what would happen if he goes.

Guess no one knows for sure but if we are debt free I imagine tf and co would want a hefty figure to purchase QPR as they must of written of tens of millions of pounds and they ain't done that bit for free.

The opinion I have is tf invested in QPR due to the stadium and the redevelopment of old oak common as it's worth millions long term. If that falls through that's when I see him leaving if we are not a prem club.

So basically, we should all support Fernandes because his naive decisions have f ucked us so royally that we would be unable to find another buyer?

good shout bakes, you only have to look at Leeds to see what could be lurking around the corner. For all his faults, there's never been any malice with Uncle Tone

Is it not entirely likely that he sells the club to another very rich businessman who may actually know what they're doing?
                    that is ironic.

but it's also ironic how everyone wants rid of a rich business man but still thinks that a very rich businessman is going to suddenly appear and buy at a business that's losing lots of money week in/week out and pile his cash into it.

me? i'm just worried that tf and co switch off the money taps but can't find anyone to take the club off their hands and eventually it goes out of business (no irony).

I think the correct phrasing is such: "...we have to find another oil sheik or Russian billionaire because of TF and the board, without him and co we'd keep our heads above water..."

So we need £87m a season to stay afloat?

It doesn't matter, according to some the priority is that TF always has the best of intentions when it comes to QPR.

How on gods green earth has he f'ed us royally as you say? he came in after Briatore and spent money on the club, he bought in managers (that through no fault of his own didn't work out) backed them in the transfer market, he is trying to rebuild the infrastructure of this club that is league 1 at best , this all takes time Christ knows when if the training ground will get the go ahead, but he's trying to change the whole club, maybe you would prefer a Briatore type who if you boo him or challenge what he is doing would want your address and ban you from the club, or the Leeds Chairman, i liken TF to the Middlesbrough Chairman and there aren't that many out there, and look how long its taken Gibson to turn B'oro around. Just add he bought ticket prices down to a very fair amount as well for the loyal fans , wonder what we would have been paying under Briatore in the premier league?
