It has taken me a while to write this but here we go.
Jason and me never got on at school. He was the star of track and field. Great at football and had the starring role in the schools production of Oliver at Hounslow Manor school.
He was everything I could ever aspire to be. I didn't like him.
Our love of QPR brought us together. We started going to matches and I remember we were mugged one night for our programmes and flags from some White City boys.
In the days of waterlogged pitches we couldn't accept that the QPR v Birmingham game had been postponed but we still jumped on the 237 regardless. These were the mid 70's
I have seen Jason appear in W12, Casualty. Dr. Who and a shed load of other stuff. And I thought you are a lucky sod.
When he dedicated his BAFTA to his daughter who died so young it broke my heart. That man became a hero in my eyes. He isn't a lucky sod. He is just like you and me.
I don't know what we can do to prevent cot death beasue even now it is still one of life s mysteries. And truly. I wouldn't wish that tragedy on anyone.
So there you go. That's some weight of my mind. Thank You
