I'm fine with that to be honest, if he plays well, better for us.

As much as he has mugged the club off, his cross (as sh1t as it was) was the one that got us up. I think there is a reason a lot of players want him to do well and its because he's a likeable character. Does that make it his fault? Not in my opinion. He just needs to learn. Get the right final product from the wing and he is a very good player at this level and decent at the highest level.

If you read what I posted, you would realise how ignorant what you just said is. I already said the cross was sh1t. He worked and won the ball back at least and knew the importance of that game to our fans. Is he a money grabbing pr1ck because he's been given a contract here? no, not at all. What's he supposed to do, reject that contract? Hell no.

I dont know anything about how he is in training etc, all I care about is the matches and if he can come on and do as well as he did on Saturday each time, then that is great for us.

Classic example of where Loftus Road's acoustics can be a curse as well as a blessing (for confidence players such as Hoilett). Not the first and it won't be the last. Kevin is right, the players hear absolutely everything. A player's individual wealth never comes into the equation - totally separate issue. You could be a multi-billionaire and still be psychologically hindered by such things.

Yes he's mugged off the club for 3 years but wouldnt you rather he play well for us in his last year, then continue to mug us off?

I thought he was OK last time at this level, a good weapon of the bench to run at tiring championship defenders. Just don't be fooled into giving him a new contract ala Traore, still pisses me off when I think about that.

Agree, but based on history I think the highlighted premise is most likely false. Hope to be wrong though.

I go with what post 40 says that at this level he actually did perform quite well. Knowing how the club operates now, I very much doubt he will get a new contract but if he does, it will be on no more than 20k basic. I think that's a fair assumption based on how we've moved the club.

think it does happen everywhere and think West Ham are one of the worst for this. IMHO Hoilett more than deserves the stick he has got in the past. 1 or two good performances a season isnt good enough. Like other have said, hopefully this is him turning the corner now. Think our fans will always back a player who shows a bit of fight. Isnt too much to ask for. Look at Mackie - runs down as many blind allies as anyone and can be frustrating, but the fans love him for his work rate and determination alone.

Its up to Hoilett and him alone to change the fans opinion and im hopeful he will. Certainly has the talent in there.

                              i dont think he

i dont think he mugged the club off,i think he genuinely drifts out the game if hes played on the wing but those
crunching tackles that gets put on him in the strikers role seem to buck his ideas up if we could get him to score plenty of goals that makes my own master plan viable which is

we give blackburn 10 million plus hoilett for jorden rhodes in my opinion hes 15 million all day long

we sell austin 15 million to newcastle
we sell sandro to sunderland 8 million
we sell fer to anyone for 8 million

we then give wolves 15 million for afobi we have funds left over to strengthern varius positions

but a team that has rhodes afobe and jet blasting goals should win this division, thats my idea i accept its mental but then so am i

Hoilett just isn't expressed that way, it's not his style. Players can't always be compared.
