Was peculiar sub but Fer did go and play up top not deep so not sure where the zero up top comes from but if it gives fans another branch to beat the manager with why not
For fe got sub's wrong again. I would have put Fer on for Toszer and dropped mas back deeper and put Fer in his position and if Jet did need to come off probably put Hoilett up top.

Secondly, I agree that we should have had polter on the bench if he was fit and available. That being said, based on who was there, taking off JET and bringing on Fer made a lot of sense to me. Again, they both are big guys with good feet and like to drop into the spaces in between the defensive and midfield lines to bring in other players. When fer came on, he drew players towards him and generally did a lot of work. Would I have rather Polter come on? sure, but am I going to say it was a bad sub? no, JET is clearly tiring and he's had fitness issues in the past and at times comes across lackadaisical off the ball. He's a great talent and a good player on the ball and occasionally tracks back well. But fer does the same and he was more fit at that point to do damage.
As for whether I think we played well, yea I do. We defended really well for one of the first times this season against a team on form. We were consistent for 90 minutes as opposed to the last 40 or so. All the players knew what their job was and created chances as a result. To have 10 shots inside the box is impressive to be honest and shows that we have the impetus to go forward. To do that while keeping a clean sheet is mightily impressive as well. If you think that Fer played in midfield, you should see the positions where he took his touches because they were primarily in and around the box. He and Jet - as I have already said - occupy the same spaces.
Am I here trolling or just to wind people up? Of course not, just because I'm positive doesn't make me a troll. I'm sorry that I'm not doom and gloom or that I don't take what I see with my eyes as the absolute fact but that's how I am. I don't have 20 20 vision and even if I did, I wouldn't trust my eyes enough to discount the numbers laid in front of me.

Its not like the sub reduced the amount of chances we got. In fact, we actually had more shots per minute after the substitution was made. We want to be able to use JET as much as possible so we have to take what we can. A draw today is a good result relative to what many expected,. We were extremely unlucky not to win that and they really never looked too dangerous (at least compared to us). More shocked by all the booing at the end. Consider that we kept a clean sheet against a team who scored 10 in the last 5 games and we generally outplayed them and Chery should have scored were it not for an incredible save by Westwood. All in all im happy with the result and performance and hope to push on come saturday.
That was another dreadful performance saved only by the referee ignoring a blatent red and a penalty youve seen given plenty of times.
The sub showed what a defeatist negative manager CR is, the fact we had 2 defensive midfielders and no strikers on the pitch at home is inexcusable.

Although we kept a clean sheet our defending was appalling again. They had two wide free kicks in the first half where they had two men just walk into the 6 yard box unopposed and would have stuck it in if the delivery was not so poor.
Also, for the penalty decision what about the way the guy just ran through from the halfway line on his own and could quite easily have seen the pen given and red card.
Then towards the end a big long ball from them and our defensive strategy is to let the ball bounce in our own box gifting them possession and a great position.
Now these are not just individual mistakes but the set up of the defence which, to me is all over the place.
Ramsey has lost the dressing room, his own players are criticising him and we are not getting any better whatsoever.

Maybe the fact he's not a striker is a reason he didn't look all that when he came on. Just a hunch."What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. The fact is that we didn't have another striker on the bench ! What if JET had pulled up early, as it is stated he was carrying a knock. Polter should have been on the bench as cover at least so we had another option, FER is an addition to the front line not a striker. Ramsey is confusing himself and for Nasser to say we outplayed Weds ? We were rubbish they were rubbish, we got lucky, they were unlucky......they are the facts from last night. Yes Chery could have scored but before that we should have been down to 10 men and probably a pen against us too, nobody would have been getting too upset had those decisions been given.

But people just wanna criticise CR so they will find anything they can.
I may be wrong, but do a poll if you want a stat.
