  • Angella & Hall can't continue

Angella and Hall cannot continue to be our centre-back pairing. I've never seen a defensive duo look so fragile and weak! Their reading of the game is awful and you can tell that Green doesn't trust them. He refuses to give them the ball and would rather punt it up the field. To be fair to Angella he was awful but he was trying his hardest to put things right and wasn't shying away - the same couldn't be said about Hall though.
Yesterday also confirmed that Onuoha is no right-back because he simply doesn't have the stamina. He was finished after 70 minutes.

Did you watch the same game as me? Angella wasn't shying away but Hall was? I couldn't disagree more. Hall looks the far better player for me. Angella is 6ft 2 or whatever he is and the bloke can't head a ball it's embarrassing. Hall is our best CB IMO.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I agree Matty, Hall looks fine to me. I would actually like to see Ned dropped at the moment. I have not been impressed with him this season.

on Current form Hall is our best CB ..but i think Angella is still in Pre season as he had virtually no games prior to his arrival...the mistake ramsey make was to break up Ned and Hall so quickly when Angella arrived. 3 into two don't go and sadly i think hall will be the one who drops. Next season he will be our first choice centre back if we stay in the championship

Quite how we are in this state defensively is embarrassing . Don't know our best back four and whoever is coaching these boys needs outing . Sandro protecting the back four will help but they can't even deal with simple set pieces . Perch hasn't been great but obviously singling him out for dropping hasn't helped , there's a deep rooted problem there as individually they are not bad players but as a 'unit' they are tragic

On current form I'd go with:

Subs: Green, Onuoha, Angella, Faurlin, Doughty, Polter, Hoilett

Thought Hall made far too many mistakes but Angella was worse defensively somehow. Onuoha needs to be a centre back from here on in. He's much better than those two.

This. Even if Konch can't cross the ball and was poor for their first. Clint will pull things together. Hall would, I think, look more comfortable on the right.

Hall is young lad learning his trade and Ramsey needs to realise he can damage his progress if he keeps undermining him by in and outing him of the side , what the lad needs the chance to play along side some one like Dunne but of course they thought we had or could get better

Need to get Dunne and Nelson back as coaches

Why is no one talking about Yun? He brings speed and crossing ability on the left flank. Agree Onouha should be returned to CB. Hall and Angella both had bad games yesterday. Hopefully it's an isolated thing. How 'bout Kepekewa as another possible CB? And yes, we need to bring in a coach who understands defense; we look tactically clueless back there.

Would love to see Nelson back as a coach. Think he'd really get the basics sorted with the players because that seems to be what we are missing. Think Nelsen and Derry would be incredible backroom additions.

I think when yun is fully fit, he should walk back into this side. Very good player at this level and has the pace and physicality to do a lot of good work on the left.
