The Mittals are shrewd cookies and it seems to me are playing a waiting game, like poker, its all about timing and when you make your move.

Yes of course that was an idiotic soundbite of Flavio's and it was a massively unprofessional comment to make. W12 Ranger, he will be beaten over the head with it and in my opinion, rightly so.

If he says it, he should take the consiquences of it.

I wonder how many people bourght into the slogan 'a new era is starting, be part of it'?

I think many were left dissapointed.

The fact is we have spent very little money. All been loans really. Also were is this striker we have needed for the past 3 years?

however the fans want money spent. the kind of money the board will not spend

the board want to keep there profit margin as high as possible. that means throwing money around is not an option. spending as little as they can whilst still trying to bring in quality is. this has mostly worked until they come unstuck with the striker situation.

they will improve the team each year until the squad is good enough. how long that will take is unknown

I honestly didn't realise the Mittals had sat down with so many fans and outlined their plans for the club.

                I feel quite left out.

Manure and Arsenal make a profit. Probably others too.

                    and why is that?

its hard for lower league clubs to do so but premier leauge clubs definitaly can and they do.

our ground size and size of the "active" fanbase will make it hard for us to do so but that doesn't mean it is impossible

Not necessarily. It depends on where and how the money is thrown. Speculate to accumulate and all that. It depends if theyre in it for the short term to make a fast buck and sell, or to invest in the long term. All the indications so far points to the latter. Mistakes along the way are an inevitable reality but any businessman worth his salt will learn from them to avoid them being repeated.

1 million to them is nothing. All I am saying Flavio has promised a lot on the pitch and so far he hasnt really delivered

agreed money has to be spent in certain areas to go up. but some wan't 10 million to be spent which just isn't going to happen

it definatly seems like its a long term "project" but my worry is that they will cut and run long before then.

do you think they have got this money with that sort of attitude

what they spend will be decided by there projected income

W12Ranger. I think most QPR fans that keep mentioning the 4 year plan and champions league etc aren't so silly to think they meant it, or realised soon after that they didn't.

They keep bringing it up as they know our owners shouldn't have really said it, they also know we shouldn't be being charged the champions league prices we are currently paying to watch championship football.

Like you I don't think much will happen in the future, we may flirt with promotion and even get it but I don't think we will spend long in the prem, let alone play champions league. Different people have different ways of dealing with the "let down", let's let them have theirs and we can relax in the knowledge that if we happen to get to the prem we won't have seen it coming
