QPR boss Jim Magilton has no plans to search for another left-back following Gary Borrow-dale's consistent start to the season, writes Ben Kosky.

Magilton was considering alternatives during pre-season, with former Liverpool defender Gregory Vignal joining Rangers on trial and Matthew Connolly starting several games at left-back.

But Borrowdale, who was frozen out under Magilton's predecessor Paulo Sousa, has been ever-present for the Rs this season and appears to have made the position his own.

"Gary's done well, he's getting fitter and he's looked solid," Magilton told the Times. "I think there's a lot more to come from him.

"I came in with very much an open mind. If lads come in and do well they're going to stay in the side and Gary's been given an opportunity that he's grasped.

That said Pete do you know if there's any truth in the Tabb rumor? May be that it's for midfield options and not as a replacement left back!

With Connolly out for who knows how long if Borrowdale got injured we really would be screwed!

That's a point, leaving aside what people think of Borrowdale, some think he's ok - some think he's poor... there's no cover for him.

Possibly Ramage, or another right-footed player played out of position. Or maybe Gorkks??

Whoever, It's not very good, is it?

Tabb's left footed, seen him play LB for Brentford a few times too.

          Would be a top signing.

Loan signings have to be emergency at this time
what about Harewood at Newcastle,ie they still had 2 strikers and when signed he has come on as a sub twice. My point being, what is the definition of "emergency"?

It would not surprise me, if we went for Tabb. A player, who we have been linked to before. Not sure, it would be before January though.

He was still classed as their best player though, and they only loaned him as his contract was ending.

Different story with Tabb, hes being loaned as they dont want him.

Different managers, different opinions. Steve Bruce thought Ben Watson was the nuts. Martinez came in and clearly didn't rate him (thankyou my man). Think Tabb wd be a v gd signing - prefer Spurr, but if Tabb can play well at left back as a few seem to think, then why not? He doesn't become a bad player overnight just because it hasn't worked out for him at Reading.

Because, and not to put too finer point on it, Brendan Rodgers is an utter knob with a Mourinho-esque Messiah complex who has managed to alienate 70% of their squad.

Routledge, Barrowdale, Watson, Tabb - ALL played for the Melwood Kids team that was virtually all signed up by Ron Noades at Palace, Included the best player out of all of them - A goalie by the name od SEAN BLESSON - IF anyone on here talks to any of the players - Especially Wayne Routledge, ask about him, they all know him - SIGN HIM NOW!!!!!

                          .
