Finacially, not at all bad, in fact, it's probably really important we do.
Squad & Playing wise, maybe but nobody knows for sure.
Personally & selfishly, absolutely I want us to go up. I want us to win EVERY match we play in EVERY competion we play in, League or Cup. I don't understand anyone not wanting that. Why settle for mediocrity ?

However, lets not get carried away here. We're only 5 games into a 46 game season. There will be ups & downs. We're enjoying a high at the moment, but the next kick in the nuts for QPR fans is only ever just around the corner as sure as night follows day.

I don't see how success can be a bad thing, I find it ridiculous that you go into a season hoping not to do too well.

I don't buy this rebuild in the championship for a few years, for the first couple the team will get weaker and weaker with the better players leaving. It's just not that easy, do you not think almost every other team is saying the same thing.

I don't want to support a championship club I want them in the top division. How many time shave you seen fans cursing getting promoted to the PL because they wanted to rebuild at a lower level ??????

I think the earlier we get promoted the better it is for the club. No need to do things slowly IMO.
Cracking question, would be interesting to hear the happy lots opinions now.

        my #realist views were...........

before the transfer window............... wanted a promotion push
expected with sale of charlie and matty.............relegation.

after window has closed i both want and expect promotion. if we dont then i consider it a failure.

I think he made his point again without actually referring to him by name.

Still, makes a change not to read unnecessary vitriol.

Wouldn't class myself as one of the "Happy lot" to be fair. For goodness sake, I disliked Redknapp at least as much as anybody.

Before the season started, I would have expected a top 6 finish. (See Stan Bowles bet thread). Surely, any sane person would have, looking at our squad even with a couple of ommissions compared to the bulk of teams in this league.

And now yesterday is out of the way, I see no reason why that would not be an absolute minimum, hopefully top two. Never had a problem with those who are a little more pessimistic, just those that keep banging on with the negativity without justifiable cause.

I fully agree with you that CR would be regarded as having failed, should we not see the above with the players at his disposal. Certainly couldn't defend him if we don't. Just think that the time to judge him would be closer to the end of January rather than this week. The bloke's got to be given a chance, whether we wanted him originally or not.

I was quite keen on Clement replacing the liar with the dodgy knees. Very pleased at the moment that I wasn't too vocal about it.

I'm sure if we all stick together and support the players, management and owners, then we can all be justifiably happy once they succeed. Rather than having to grudgingly accept that they did OK !!

              agreed

Well, with this squad ramsey has my backing. will support him until january. if we are nowhere near top 6 by then, then i will throw the kitchen sink in.

Didn't think he was as hands on anymore, hence why I didn't mention his name...

Hey Brighton! I don't hate Uncle T! I just personally blame him for the mess Les and Lee Hoos inherited! The 1st things TF should of done was employ people around him like these people!.... Better late than never anyway. All water under the bridge....

This. promotion would be great providing we don't over spend. Accept that we could come straight back down and pocket the money to reduce the clubs debt.

Water under the bridge, what a ridiculous statement. You're just waiting for the next slip up so you can bash tony again. Fact is it was only Brighton and myself that were upset when he employed harry but still don't you let facts stand in your way!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

was thinking along them lines myself. Yo-yo for a few seasons and we will be up bundles
I must away now, I can no longer tarry

think we should be looking at play off's still. Obviously keeping Austin and the others is massive for us, but all it takes is Austin to be out for a month or two and people will be panicking that we can score again. Would snap your hand off for 6th right now.

If this team gel they would be a good nucleaus to build as a Premier League Team, assuming we kept Phillips and Austin if we went up. If we bought 4 or 5 good quality additions we may have half a chance to stay up.
