I think Pete is thinking along the lines of free transfers or loans, which rules out quite a few of the above plus Vokes and Boyd.

If QPR want cheap, tall players who might be able to head the ball, they could try looking at the lower leagues or even amatuer level, where they specialise in long high balls into the area.

I would prefer QPR to play football by keeping the ball below head height most of the time with some balls over the top for a pacy striker to get to when teams play a high offside trap.
