His body language was not that of a player keen to hang around. After we scored the first goal he could barely even smile, even though it owed much to his excellent lay off. Almost as if it was a training match. It was almost as if he was saying "after the Prem, scoring a goal in the Champ isn't worth anything." Hope I'm wrong but that was what I picked up.

Agree 100%. Fair play to him for being professional and he's a good lad for that but his body language tells us everything. Personally think he's annoyed how long this has dragged on for.
Think Charlie thinks prem football gives him a chance of hijacking a England spot next year that's why he's so desperate.

Yes, quite likely that Charlie thinks that but is it true? He is already on Hodgson's radar and surely it wouldn't do him any harm if he is tearing up the Championship.

As for deserving a move, well, I do agree that he is a Premier League player who has been a consummate professional for us through this (which sets him apart from most footballers!), but, that said, he did sign the contract to play for us for three years - and reached his current status via the opportunity that we gave him.

Did a lap at the end clapping all the fans, not sure if he's done this every game but looked pretty certain that he's off to be honest. That along with the fact that he took the penalty to add to his goalscoring tally (and increase his chances of a move) rather than let chery complete a hat trick.

I agree. Keep them including Fer, sign a centre half and we will go up.

Much prefer to relegation talk mush. Still gutted about that cardiff equaliser.

But we SHOULD use the money to bring in another goal scorer + two new defenders while keeping Matty, Fer and Sandro. That's enough to give us a shot at promotion without mortgaging away our future.
I don't think Fer and Sandro are going anywhere. Fer has some sort of injury problem which the club don't want to talk about and Sandro is still in Brazil.

Phillips and Austin on the other hand are bound to be subject to a couple of bids. I have a horrible feeling both will go on deadline day!

Why is Sandro still in Brazil? Is it still this work permit thing? What's going on with that?

Strange. I hope both problems can be resolved. We could do with both Fer and Sandro getting stuck in really.

True...definitely fed up talking about relegation!

Not sure promotion is really on the cards but am certainly happy with the start.
