  • 5 Keys to Promotion

We just may have a shot at promotion. Five keys to watch for from TF and Les?

    (1) Use all of the $15+m from sale of Charlie (now all but a given) and Green (likely)
    (2) Buy/get on transfer one proven attacker -- Polter, Mackie, JET decent start; missing one additional, proven scoring threat
    (3) Buy/get on transfer two defensive studs; one RB, the other a CB -- get Danny Simpson back; unsure re best CB now available
    (4) Retain Matty Phillips -- a possible MOTY in Championship who can help power our offense
    (5) Retain Fer and Sandro, at least until the January window -- imagine starting midfield of Fer, Chery, Phillips, Sandro, Luongo with Ale and Henry in reserve

Believe it or not, if we shore up our defense, add an attacker, and get our midfield healthy, we are as imposing on paper as any contender.

Current squad, one cb, one rb, sorted. Replace any goings and even more sorted. Honestly, only two players away from having one of the best ever squads in the championship
