Two more league games and a couple of friendlies left Harry, I usually play for the 4th XI, we won yesterday probably because I was at the football instead haha.

I took my wife for the first time in 10 years.

We started well with a quick break down the right wing from Matty Phillips, the cross to Charlie was cleared for a corner. A bright start which went flat after that.

Rotherham looked dire tbf, a better team may have punished some of our mistakes.

Toward the end of the half a brilliant bit of inter-play teed up Chery in the box to curl home. A relief to go in 1-0 up.

I told my wife that when we attack the loft in the second half we usually step up a couple of gears which we did.

We eased to a 3-0 lead without too much effort and Rotherham still looked pony.

Another error at the back let Rotherham back in, and yet more poor defending for the corner late on and back to 3-2. Squeaky bum time. So when Charlie stroked the penalty away that was a great relief and three points!

For what it's worth here's my summary.

The chief and Hall looked decent at the back. Perch could be ok after a few more games. We definitely need to shore up the back to stop giving away lame goals.

Chery is superb, hardly a foot wrong and will cause damage.

Phillips good, but kept switching wings for some reason.

Austin was not great today but took his two goals well. When he is in form he will rip this division a new one, hope we keep him.

Ramsey was right to take off Faurlin who kept falling over and losing the ball, not sure whether that is tiredness or injury creeping in again (hope not) he looked ok up to that point.

Poulter ok when he came on, will win most balls in the air, and can be a danger going forward.

Remove Charlie and Matty from the team will kill confidence in our team. We have a good nucleus of a side here, however the uncertainty of knowing if we need to replace those two could affect things. Lets hope replacements are lined up if needed.

We are too good to be relegated with or without Matty and Charlie.
Glad you enjoyed the day out Ed, and great to see three points on th board. Never a dull moment at Loftus so far this season!

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Presumably you know how Smarkets work WeAre?

They take a small percentage of a punters NET WINNINGS on each individual market, which due to the way it's set up, still offers far better odds than you would usually be able to obtain from what one would regard as a "Bookie".

This... and also good for backing "against", it's like a mate letting you have the draw as well.

So I am assuming if Smarkets chose you as a winner you would decline on principle?
Also please point me to the thread where the Smarkets guy claimed to represent a 'charitable bunch'?
If this offends you so much, place it on ignore, this is one of our clubs official sponsors and should expect a little bit of respect from the supporters of the team they sponsor.
And for the record, I don't gamble nor have I ever gambled, but I am very happy these guys are on board and reaching out to regular fans such as us.

I'm surprised you haven't either managed a PL team or become Ladbrokes CEO weare, with your in depth knowledge of both football and betting.

Nothing wrong with Betfair and nothing wrong with Smarkets. Just bet sensibly, I do.

If you can't bet what you can afford to lose you have a problem. Nothing wrong with these companies offering this service.
