There needs to be a new rule made on players that sit back, pick up wages and do nothing.
SWP had chances to go on loan and turned them all down to sit on his ar*e, pick up huge wages for doing nothing.

How can footballers get away with stuff like that?
Surely the board must have looked at him, and thought why are we paying this money for him doing nothing?
SWP wasn't even willing to go out on loan and play football.
He was employed by the club, so should work for his weekly wage.
If a player isn't willing to go out on loan somewhere else that offers them a chance to play, there needs to be a rule that there contract can be cancelled.

If a player isn't willing to go elsewhere for a few months to play some games, and chooses to do nothing but pick up his wages by his employer then it's not right at all.

By my very unofficial calculations, I estimate we cleared about 20 million in wages alone with all the released/sold players. The sold players and Sterling raised about 15 million (again a somewhat educated guess) so far including Mutch.

With the remaining squad players, the wage bill must still be quite high compared to most of the championship.

Players bought totaled roughly 5-6 million?
