Everyone starts somewhere, the guy was part of a successful Spurs development team over a long period of time, producing players for a top six premier league club.

Queen's Park Rangers needs to be rebuilt, a better man couldn't have been chosen, the club needs to redevelop a culture, recruitment process and playing style, consistantcy is the only way to achieve these longterm goals, have a person in place with the same vision overseeing this longterm project is probably the best appointment the club has made!

Ramsey is expendable for sure but Les is the future!

Agree Cali, however some people dont have the patience that you have. I agree we need to be built again but i do think there has been TOO much emphasis on this and it cannot be used as an excuse for failure or an under-performing team which i have a feeling it may just be used for should we continue under-performing/losing.
We can build from scratch and perform well at the same time... The start of the season has been under-whelming to say the least but it is still early days so lets give it a few more games.

As much as I love Ainsworth I'm not sure I'd want him as manager yet. Him and Gallen were my favourite players growing up and in honesty I love the man too much I'd hate to see him fail with us
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

Wycombe are the highest placed football league club owned purely by the fans, which means its an absolute shoe string budget and one of the lowest in the football league.
Considering this, Ainsworth managed to keep them in the football league 2 seasons ago on the last day, then build a play-off final promotion side all in the space of the off-season.

So when you say 'done very little', i ask how many other managers have done that in the space of two seasons on a nothing budget.
Ainsworth has something and i would take him at the drop of a hat. Nothing to do with sentiment.
Fair point, but for me, in the lower leagues you can only be judged by winning promotion. He hasn't done it yet. League 2 players are two a penny and very rarely will you see any club in league two spending any sort of money. They are able to pull conference players and older players for next to nothing, along with picking up youngsters from the higher divisions in need of game time.

Much like when people used to bang on about the brilliance of Karl Robinson - fair enough he has done it now and got MK promoted, but before that, i dont think anyone can rave about a lower league manager that hasnt won promotion.

Let's see where we are after 10 odd games, we went for the non patience approach and got bummed, I like where we are right now because I can see a plan being formulated.

Before it was spend, spend, square pegs, round holes, it had to stop.

I truly believe we will be ok, WBA, Stoke, Swansea and now Wolves where taken apart and rebuilt, Swansea are the benchmark, they kept to a style of play and hired managers to progress it, but the manager had to fit into the club's ethos.

I am hoping that's where we will be in a few years time, but it will be a long slow process.

i am with you..but if we lose at wolves tonight many on here won't be...we have seen it all over the past few seasons but the the reaction on here to the start of the season seems to be the most shocking.

Imo, We have to give Ramsey a chance. I think we will see that the club is willing to add some more money to the transfer budget now that it looks like the FFP punishment is acceptable from a financial point of view. Anuway, we still need to strenghten the team from keeper to the striker position. Green is not commanding enough, the defence still need some reinforcements and the same is needed in midfield. We are still in need of a playmaker. Not sure what will happen to Charlie, iwill he go or will he stay? Not an ideal situation but this is not a something we can blame Ramsey for.
IOW, ideally i think we are stuck with an unproven "manager" who is doing his best by using the method; "Learning by doing"
What he absolutely dosnt need is to see his players being booed of the park in his first home game of the season. Quite a few of them were debutants aswell.

I dont think you understand the job he has done there... It is truly remarkable! You say you hardly see League 2 clubs spend money and you cant rave about a lower league manager that hasnt won promotion, well this season Wycombe will walk that league. 3 games in and unbeaten already.
Just being in League 2 is a dream for Wycombe nowadays now that their owned by fans and we're talking about them winning League 2!

Read about, the job he has done is second to none!

I may well agree with you if at the end of the season they have walked the league as you think they will. A long way to go yet and could all go wrong.

Even if they do win the league, i will still have reservations. Very big step up to take form Wycombe to us.

The problem also lies in the managers that built these other clubs up from scratch again... I'm not sure CR is of the calibre of a Pulis, Rodgers etc.
I also dont think these clubs that have built were pulled apart like we have and are being done. Those clubs still spent money, we are not spending any money!
How long is long term, is another thing... 5 years, 10 years, 15 years... and what does it mean exactly? When they said orginally we were going to be going in a different direction, i thought it meant spending the money on younger players, not spending no money at all and having a wage cap of 20k!

if he gets a second promotion with Wycombe there will be a mad scramble for his signature. If Alf looks a lost cause by Chrimbo, move in for Ainsworth
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

You could be right, if you are, the managers changes but the structure remains, and that's the key.

We need to wait for a lot more games before we start thinking who we want as our next manager. If we beat Wolves tonight everyones view will change. When Fer returns (and if Sandro returns) then we will be playing far better
