Teams like Borough and Bristol City are going for it and good for them. QPR apparently cannot compete financially at this time. Also of note, if QPR do bid similar for a player it is highly unlikely he play for 20K a week which is Les' supposed maximum wage. Right now these type of signing just aren't going to happen at QPR.

As for Austin, who cares if he can or can't lead a line? He scores for fun and always has. I'm shocked on some of the money being spent on strikers from other leagues when history shows they do not do the same in the premier league. Meanwhile Austin who scored 18 goals for the worst team in the league goes untouched at pretty much the same asking price. Those mired in a relegation battle will rue missing out on him over a few million.

All he can do I suppose... 'If you aint got it you cant spend it'. Cant really blame him when it comes to not making any big(ish) signings.. just hope he gets his tactics/formation right tonight!!
