If you could swap any ground in the championship with ours, what would it be. Forget location, just the actual ground.

Got me thinking after the charlton game. I actually quite liked it and thought it is a good model to follow should we ever move, or completely revamp LR. Granted the bar was a joke and i obviously wasn't the only person to not realize there was another bar at the other end of the stand.

love the closeness to the pitch at LR , wouldn't swap it for a concrete and plastic new one

It's comfortable. But another soulless bowl. No atmosphere there whatsoever.

                Wouldn't change, premier league Anfield
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I like Preston. Nice big single decker stands with huge banks of seats not broken up with loads of gangways and exits. Hate grounds like Swansea, it's configured like some sort of weird indoor athletics stadium with small blocks of seats divided by walkways, tiers, ramps, exits, walls etc etc.
I quite like Hull's ground too. If Blackpool ever finish theirs it'll be a smart bowl, no separate stands just a sweeping hoop of seats which'd be pretty smart I think.

I really hate grounds like the Liberty Stadium, King Power and St Mary's - as people have often pointed out, they're soulless bowls. Of the grounds I've been to, I was really impressed with the Amex Arena and I also liked the Valley.

With regards to our new ground - we should just make a scaled up version of Loftus Road - no restricted views, more leg room, keep it close to the pitch - we could even keep our floodlights. They just need to improve on whats there, for example improve the bars under the stands wider gangways, better disabled viewing areas. They need to also think about what angle the ground is set because at the moment I get really nice sunsets from where I sit. I remember seeing many a nice skyline, really adds to the atmosphere. They should keep that stupid box thing in the away end.

Loftus Road is a massive part of our identity, there's really no need to make any drastic changes, just simple effective ones.

Picture this, go on, read it then close your eyes and really picture it... - A Beautiful susnset nicely offset by the floodlights - jet stream's cutting across the west London skyline as it slowly turns from a dusty pink to a burning red, pina colada in hand or a glass of cool, crisp dry rose - if you're so inclined and a small bowl of wasabi peas. It's the future Vanhoop don't try and fight it - It's what uncle Tony wants.
