I'm hardly a happy clapper but am prepared to give it some time. I like the idea of what the club is now trying to achieve. Haven't a clue if CR the right man in charge but we can't tell based on debacle of last season and a couple of games of this one. Seem to remember Ollie arrived with a whimper in our relegation year.

    well put.

The fact is, our manager isn't very good at winning football matches. Only 2 matches, but the trend continues....... I don't want him sacked , give him time. But I can only see this experiment will end up getting thrown on the 'Fernandes Fck ups' pile.

I want Ramsey to suceed, I really do. Purely because i'm sick of all the chopping and changing and false new dawns at QPR we seem to have every half a season.

I like the players we've brought in. You can see they are changing our approach to transfers and the type of player we want to bring in. I like the fact we arent being held to randsom and paying over the odds for overrated players who are only coming for 1 last pay day. I also like that, so far anyway, we have stuck to our guns re: evaluations of our key players. I also like the idea of playing a more attacking style of football and doing so on the deck...even though i'm not seeing any evidence of that yet.

I don't like the fact that whilst I beleive Ramsey's heart is in the right place, and to a degree it's not his fault, but he just hasnt got what it takes to bring the clubs vision to life by getting results on the pitch.

I hope he does. Makes life much easier if he does. I can just see him being given to Feb and if we arent challenging for the playoffs I think the fans will start to get the ump. I can also honestly see another more experience manager replace him and get much better results with the same squad at his disposal.

The rest of the transfer window could go any which way but we are told to expect 2-3 more signings. Who knows what will happen with Green, Phillips, Austin and Fer.

Maybe my expectations have been lowered by decades of supporting this team but for me about consolidation and hoping that in the second half of the season we will look pretty impressive and take that into next season. We have just been relegated and had an almighty change around of players. It will take some time for them to gel and find their level.

It is easy to analyse games and players to death but maybe we should take a deep breath and give it time and see if the new way of doing things can work. Knee jerk reactions are rarely right. The previous way of doing things sure as Hell didn't work.
Take all your points Furtive but the trouble is whoever wears the shirts plays EXACTLY the same way that is why people on here are pessimistic. Green, one good save for every two mistakes; error strewn defence; no creativity in midfield - apart from Chery so we subbed him!; never win second balls attacking or defending; hump it to Charlie who is NOT a target man etc etc. We weren't expecting miracles, we've all been coming here too long, but we were told there would be change not same old, same old.

Are you for real ? If you are you really should support another team.
In the last few years we've won the championship title as well as spending 3 years out of the last 4 in the prem where we beat the scum at ours and at theirs, as well as turning over a few other top 6 teams.
Agreed, overall, two out of three of those years resulted in relegation but that happens.
Compare that to the years spent in the wilderness of league one getting best 3-0 by Chesterfield and losing to plenty of other teams along the way, teams that we would expect to walk all over today and almost certainly would do.Was it 5 or 6 nil against Southend on telly, can't remember.
No happy clapper here, just someone who chooses to remember a bit more about how bad things really have been compared to now and isn't having a meltdown over two relegations from one of the top leagues in the world and a couple of games into a season of rebuilding.jpeg

I know people go way over the top but most of them are passionate about the club, some have supported the club for a long time, spent untold money travelling up and down the country supporting the club. I sympathise with them as I can see the club is not being run as it should, the team isn't playing as well as they can be and there not happy about the manager. So when you say after '2 games' it isn't, it's been a culmination of 4 seasons in which the highlight was a fantastic day at Wembley.

I'm not anti CR and to a degree I feel sorry for him. He was onto a hiding to nothing from day one.
The conspiracy theory in me also thinks that he has been set up to be the fall guy if we fail and Sir Les our savour if we succeed. Simple facts are this team, tactics, playing style and manager are not good enough for this league.
Charlie will be gone last day of the window, Green to. I think we will still have Fer but that's just down possible injury/medical issues.
What we have left sorry but that's not good enough. Talk of Leon Best!!! Are you kidding.
I'm not looking forward to this season and I truly worry about our future.
I understand that we have to lower expectations and I agree with that totally but this is lower than a 90 year olds brasses bangers.

I thought that we would be in the mix at the right end of the season. I still think that we have the best midfield in the league (seems a joke after the weekend but add a fit Sandro and Fer). Problems seem to be mounting that are partially our own fault (why did we not keep Dunne?) but it is a bit early for me to be going negative just yet. The most disappointing aspect of Ramseys reign was the team selection on Saturday. I expect a youth coach to promote people who look good I training. Instead people who looked good mid week were ignored for those of a higher profile. If we have 2 points after 4 games I will start grumbling.
Just praying no one signs Dunne. Time is still on our side with that

When, and I say WHEN we lose on Wednesday no one will be shocked (unless it's more than 5-0). But if we don't beat Rotherham on Saturday then this site will go into meltdown and rightly so.

I would also add that not only do we need the 3 points on Saturday but the qpr team needs to show us a performance that we can believe in moving forward

It's already in meltdown. And after two games of a season where we are changing virtually the whole team and are being hampered by no-one meeting our valuations I find that pathetic.

Why? What if it's a great performance and we don't win? It will still only be four games played.

Because after 30 mins of hoof ball into no mans land on Saturday then the crowd at HQ will turn on them very quickly.
They need to come out and show us they can play football. I still expect us to win but win in the right fasion to try and give us some hope for the future.

Because we have a team that does not know what system they are supposed to be playing. A manager that lacks experience and knowledge of this league. And players that are simply not good enough individually.
Backed up by a DOF new to the role and an owner that is shitting himself and awaiting a huge FFP fine.
Apart from all of the above its all great.
