Smithies medical

Does our club even know what a medical is, we send out a player on loan with a fee not knowing if his fit or not?
I find that embarrassing, should never have sent him out known that he wasn't fit and injured.
This goalkeeper seems to be on a never ending medical.

Makes you wonder. If Green does leave, that would be the 3rd keeper to leave this Summer.
Technically, we'd need to bring 2 keepers in to go with Lumley.
Both Bentley & Smithies ? Nah, surely not......That would be nuts.

With all this talk about replacing Green with Smithies or Bentley it got me thinking about how good they are because tbh i've never watched either of them play.
Green last time out in the Championship in 2013/4 had an average rating of 6.84 and averaged 27.4 passes per game at 55.9%. He also average 2.7 saves a game, .01 from inside the .1 yard box, 1.3 from inside the penalty area and 1.2 from outside the box.
In season 2014/15 Smithies played 44 games for an average rating of 6.50. He averaged 25.5 passes a game at a success rate of 37%. Per game he also averaged 3 saves, .2 from inside the 6 yard box, 1.6 from the penalty area and 1.2 form outside the box.
Bentley is harder to analysis due to him playing in the 4th tier last season however 21 clean sheets in 42 games is no mean feet and at the age of 22 seems to be a much more promising prospect that Smithies.
I still don't understand how we let McCarthy go. In his last season at Reading in the Championship he had an average rating of 7.00, averaged 28.2 passes at 45.6% success rate whilst making 3.9 saves a game whilst also only shipping 56 goals.
To sum it all up the board by discarding McCarthy has stuffed up, by potentially keeping Green especially on his wages has stuffed up, by looking to buy Smithies has stuffed up and by effectively giving up on Bentley has stuffed up. Hence I have come to the conclusion that they stuffed up.

I am sorry but these stats mean F all. I do not understand people raving about McCarthy. He was utter sh!te when played for us. A poor start at palace and once Speroni is back, he will be back on the bench. Was delighted with the fee we got for him
From memory it was Redknapp who signed him, so that's two managers who thought Green was a better option and i am going to agree with the people who seem them on a day to day basis.
