You can play mackie for Phillips or chery for gladwin in them positions same with faurlin for loungo and polter for Austin or if play gladwin from start then you could take jet off for chery,this 4231 don't work it's too rigid and u can still play good football

We need points we need to get at a side with balance and a team with understanding of each others game 4 4 2 is the easiest formation to play just as enjoyable to watch .
so what is so great about playing a lone striker up front [in our case Austin who cant play it ] that in turn can be 3 up front is that make managers think 4 4 2 is out of date not in vogue , For me Polter should start at Wolves with Austin if he's here .
This lone man up front is over complicated for many players and takes too much time when a club has brought in as many players as we have

100% agree chery should be on the left with the sweet delivery he has. We can't afford a luxury number 10 atm who wanders anywhere as defensively we aren't strong enough to cope.

Cardiff are a decent team Imo and had some decent players. There first 11 pretty much played most their ga,es last season and there team cohesion showed. Where our first 11 haven't had half a dozen games together which clearly showed.

Completely agree, the formation failed miserably. When u got wonderful crossers like Chery and Philips why wouldn't u have 2 in the box like Polter and Austin? They put loads of good balls in yesterday to nobody. Get 2 up top

I think a case for 4 4 2 will be even stronger if we sign gayle or Gray as I think Polter with either one of them would cause havoc to a lot of defences.

I do like 4 2 3 1 but I also don't think you can beat the 4 4 2 in certain games especially ones where you should be winning. Two decent wingers, little and large combo and solid defensive unit and your laughing. Sometimes people try to over complicate football it think it's fashionable to play the continental way but always love the simplicity of the English game sometimes.

When or should i say if Leroy Fer is fit our team looks a lot more balanced and better. We all know Charlie plays better with another striker next to him but we still really dont know if he's going to stay. If he does end up going we could play a more attacking 4-2-3-1 with the setup like this:

Luongo Harriman
Phillips Fer Chery
Jet/ Polter
I think if the middle 3 were to all push up we could have a very potent forward line especially with Fer running through the middle and we saw some of the headers he got last year in the prem. With the packed middfield as well we may be able to dictate play a lot better.

Ramshackle really is making it harder then what it needs to be. Players know 4-4-2. Get chery on left. Phillips on right. Both great crossers of the ball.Then he's got the choice of fer Sandro Diakite gladwin luongo faurlin to choose from in the middle. Polter up top with austin. All this 1 up front cobblers with no in the box that was happening yesterday was a joke. Taking off austin n chery was criminal aswell. Really is a cack manager. I fear were gonna go down again with this plank running the show. Any other manager who had that squad to choose from would get into the playoffs minimum.
