Delaney like Blackstock is a very poor marker to set.
However Borrowdale has done a fair job but the problem with him is he is very AVERAGE.
1 of those players who can do a job but never does anything where u move towards the edge of the seat and get excited. I know we have Buzz ahead of him but for me a left back should be up and down all game for me he does everything ok but we need to be looking at better than average if we want promotion.
He isn't half the player Delaney is. To say Borrowdale is a better player is sheer madness. Probably why Sousa preferred to play Delaney, despite what some upstairs might have wanted him to do and why Gorman has been looking at left backs.
Borrowdale has no positional sense, cannot pass, cannot head the ball, rarely overlaps, cannot cross and is generally and genuinely out of his depth by some margin at this level.
I honestly think he'd struggle to get into Dagenham's side.
Possibly the most technically exposed player I've seen at LR since Brian Williams (given the standard).
So - simple answer is, he's not good enough and had Connolly not been suffering with illness, I doubt very much we'd seen this much of Borrowdale at all.
10 times better than Delaney and a good left back. Okay, he struggled a little against Nathan Dyer, but defenders would do.
He doesn't deserve it
Couldnt you have just resurrected the thread where you called anyone who didnt agree with you an idiot? Oh yeah, you wouldnt because everyone took offense at your patronising tone and your severely limited football knowledge.
He's $hite. End of.
QBP 20th August 2009..."To be fair, I'm glad we are top of the table (for agents fees). Shows we are not a selling club anymore."
I thought he was poor against peterborough but to be fair when has he actually looked good not ok thats where your going wrong by using ok and good as the same meaning.
