  • Team vs Cardiff?

    Mine would be:

    ------------------Green----------------
    Perch-----Onuoha---Hill----Kpekawa
    --------Luongo------Faurlin----------
    Phillips----------Chery-----------JET
    ------------------Polter--------------

However i think Ramsey's team will be this:

    -------------------Green-----------------
    Perch-----Onuoha----Hill-----Konchesky
    -----------Luongo------Henry------------
    Phillips-----------Chery---------Gladwin
    -------------------Austin-------------------

Personally I'm all for rewarding players with a start in the next match if they have played a blinder in the previous match i.e. Kpekawa and JET. I think JET especially deserves a chance as he has yet to start any matches. To drop a player after they have had a blinder and have being playing well in general could be detrimental to said players confidence.

Not a great fan of Henry either and think Faurlin now deserves a start ahead of him.

I also would not play Austin, as I am a firm believer of if a player is going to leave a club, dont hold other players back who deserve a chance and are going to be the future - No matter how good Austin is. Create a team ethic from the players who are going to be here for the season for definite.

If Austin plays he must have Polter with him, so a traditional 4-4-2 is the only way I could see it go

Got to say I thought hall looked very assured the other day.

Done every thing simple but that's all you want from your cb's isn't it?

He wasn't tested. You don't wanna throw too many new/young players in at once so if Kpew starts, I wouldn't start Hall as well. I know Hall needs to learn sometime but Ramsey needs some points on the board.

Think Ramsey will actually go with

              Green

              Perch Ned Clint Konsc

              Luongo Henry

              JET Chery Philips

              Polter

I'd love to see us go 2 up top and try Polter and Austin together, which I think would work. Polter's hold up play, albeit against Yeovil, was decent the other night and would mean Austin see's more involvement than he did against Charlton.

Alas I think not only will we go 1 up top, but Polter still wont be trusted to start whilst Austin is here.

                Green

                Kpekwa
                Hill
                Onouha
                Pearch

                Luongo
                Henry

                Gladwyn
                Chery
                Phillips

                Austin

Bench: Lumley, Hall, Polter, JET, Doughty, Hoilett, Konchesky

Hill an Konchesky should be on the bench otherwise we are going to struggle at the back.

Hate people's obsession with Henry... I think he's sh1te. We have much better ball players that could play in there ahead of him.

                      Phillips Chery Gladwin
                      Polter

With Diakite in the last chance saloon. Any mentalist nonsense from him and he's pulled, never to appear again.

He's not there to be a ball player. He's there to WIN the ball. Luongo is the man to make things happen. Doughty isnt ready, Faurlin is going to be used sparingly and Ramsey clearly doesnt trust Diakite who didnt even make the bench against Yeovil.

Would you rather Gobern then? thats the only other alternative...

Yeah brilliant, lets give Diakite a chance to show he isnt a mentalist in our first home game of the season on TV that we need to win. You cant surely beleive Ramsey would give him a chance now when he needs to pick up a win and as mentioned above he didnt even make the squad for a cup game against Yeovil??

Some of you need to think outside the box and look at things from a managerial point of view. This isnt Fifa or football manager. There are other elements that need to be taken into consideration when picking a team other than "he's a better player than so and so, play him".

Yeah. Fair point regarding Diakite. My bad. Faurlin.

For the record i'd love to see Diakite given another chance. I rate him! I fully understand why nobody seems to trust him though.

Nah its ###### mate. We dont need Henry in there, especially at home. Luongo can win the ball as well, as can Faurlin. You dont need a holding midfielder as much anymore, thats old school. Henry aint a starter and nor should he be, we have more talented player who can play in there and control the game.
Nah I'd rather play Doughty or Gladwin in there or Diakite... Fark Henry, i've had enough of him.
