The bet was always about league goals which you very well know Pete.
Yes he has 4 in total if you include the carling cup or whatever it's called these days.
I am not going to get in an arguement about blackstock I have enough of them with Dexterthevillageidiot so lets not go down that road. I know my football Pete and deep down you know that we are still a few players aways from a top 6 side. I didn't want to target youself with this post but it is funny how all posters agree we are not yet a top 6 side. I am very positive regarding QPR and will continue to follow them but I am just realistic at times.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

We have a very talented team, imo if we want to stamp our place in the top 6 we need another striker to play alongside simpson...

Simpson is a very good target man and can hold the ball up well, but imo we need a more clinical striker to play alongside him, i can see simpson getting 10 this season but id be suprised if he gets much more...

Our defense has been fairly settled and our midfield as we all know is one of the best in the division, if not the best.

If we are in the top 6 or just outside the playoff places come january our board need to have the bottle to spend more to push us on....
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

The table does not lie or do the stats 3 wins in 10 games and only 1 home win from 4 games these stats aren't good enough to gain promotion if you look who we've played this season i would say only newcastle and cardiff are decent teams yes we had two decent results against these two but picking up only 3 points from our home games against blackpool, forest and peterbough isn't good enough.

It's the same old story we dont score enough goals how do you solve this go and get a proven goalscorer that chance routledge had on sat is a prime example of why we need a striker, midfielders will chip in with goals now and again but there not going to score every wk.

Blackstock has appeared in 10 of the 11 Championship matches. He has scored 4 goals at a rate of a goal every 150 minutes and has made 2 assists. Although he has scored fewer goals than some his scoring rate this season in the Championship is better than Best, Morrison, Tudgay, Graham, Walters and of course Simpson, Vine, Pellicori and Agyemang (the list goes on).

Once we've got the lethal forward line necessary, we really will be a top, top, side. Just one or two forward pieces of the jigsaw still missing.

Its the style of football, that I am enjoying and see us doing well this season. We wouldn't want injuries to key players and need a striker to fiil the boots of Vine, who has been disappointing. Forget needing a left back, the kid Borrowdale gets stick just for the sake of it and hasn;t done anything wrong. We will have ups and downs, but you would have to be extremely negative to believe come january we will be far off the pace. That month will be crucial and the buys at the time will probably dictate where we finish.

These last few games have convinced me, that if we maintain this kind of form a Top 6 position is practically a formality. The tendency to play poorly against so called lesser teams is a big worry though.
Pete -I can't see how you can say "if we maintain this kind of form a top 6 position is practically a formality".With only 3 wins and 2 losses in 10 games with almost a quarter of the season gone,"if we maintain this kind of form" equates to 12 wins,8 losses and the rest draws come May.In no way would this qualify us for the playoffs.WE NEED A STRIKER AND SOON then we can start raising the bar.

Routledge scored an hat-trick versus Exeter City, but I'd still have him in my eleven
