I think we have had some solid signings, not great on the back 4 with Perch, Ream, Hall, Kos, and recalling Kpekawa, add that to what was left of last years squad, and I don't think we have an elite championship defense, but one that can atleast keep us in games and let our attack win them. Just don't give up 3 and I think the offense can win a game on any given night.

QPR offer accepted for Ream.
Hopefully he finds the form he had in his first two years here when he was comfortably one of the worst players I've ever watched in a Bolton shirt.
I'm sure it'll be an 'undisclosed fee' and that any money WON'T be reinvested.
That's from a Bolton Forum.

I'm bored at work so here's a few quotes from some Bolton forums:
"Ream's reasonably wide skillset (compared to, say, Wheater) enabled him to a do a job at left-back and perhaps in defensive midfield. But really, he's a centre-back, and he's just not quite good enough at it. It's not his fault he cost more than a third of the Cahill cash and is less than a tenth of the player - but it's notable that Coyle, Freedman and Lennon have all recruited centre-backs since."
"Ream is a marginally average Championship level defender and was so, even when we were in the Prem. He can pick the odd pass, but strangely enough when it comes to heading the ####er and clearing it, he's a bit ####."
"Completely agree - he's versatile and can pass but he's shown both in the EPL and the Championship that he can't hack it as a defender. I'm really at a loss as to why he's so highly rated (there's loads of people on the Bolton News site saying he could cut it in the top flight!). I don't hate him, I think he's a determined player, but he just doesn't seem cut out for the "English" game. No physical presence, pretty poor in the air for a 6'1 defender, and doesn't seem to read interceptions or clearances well. I really don't know what people see in him except that he can cover LB, or why they think he's worth more than a few million; in fact I saw some comments saying we shouldn't even consider a bid below £5m (and some higher estimations!). Don't get me wrong I think he's alright, but that's all he is - an average Championship defender."
"If we had a defence full of bruisers, losing Ream would be a big blow because he is a good footballer from the back. But defensively, in terms of keeping goals out, in this division I don't think he's that great. At least not in our team.
"Decent, trouble & tantrum free, utility player who is a sort of nearly man not being great at any position nor crap either. Possibly suffered due to his flexibility. Thanks are due .... but no tears. ... & his wife is fit too."

Good signing for us with our lack of depth on the back line.you know nothing john snow!!!!
