  • Will it be harder to replace Austin now?

Everyone knows now that we have lowered our valuation now, as we need the money to be able to strengthen the squad, and also find someone to replace Austin as well.
I know it's only been 1 game so far, but both Afobe and Gray both got on the scoresheet for there clubs this weekend.
Can we rule those 2 out now?

I wonder if we will wait for the window to close, the Prem Sides have named there squads and we will take someone on loan instead that's available from the Prem.

Hoop I just can't see Rangers getting a replacement full stop, they will persevere with jet, polter , Mackie, and then hope the midfield can chip in a few goals,, afobie and gray are well out off our reach., can you see Rangers splashing out 5-7 million on players.

There may be some money available when Austin leaves but as it seems we will accept £2million less than the £15million we stood firm on then that's gonna be £2million less to improve the squad now.
Knowing us though we will sell him for less than the £12million which so far is the only actual bid !!

Let's be honest who gonna part with the money to buy him in this window , he unfit and teams are not gonna pay a shed load of money for somebody who that unfit and could takes weeks to get going , for there money they want someone who gonna hit the ground running

Also there is more to this I said from day one , why hasn't nobody got a little higher then Leicester just to test the water .

Newcastle chose to sign Mitrovic for £13million instead, and McClaren has said there's no truth in the supposed interest in Austin from them.
West Ham it now seems have Hernandez as there main target now.
Unless Leicester come back in with the £12million bid again, it's gonna come down to lowering the valuation even more.

Won't replace him unless it's with an unwanted free agent as a desperation signing.

We haven't goals in this side imo. Worrying.

He needs to bang in a few before the window closes. Hopefully a move will spur him on to our benefit.

If we do have someone in mind but we need the Austin sale for it to happen then this needs to happen sharpish!!
Not only would we have to find a replacement, but the club that parts with anyone we sign will need time to be able to use that money as well.

Overseas strikers are cheaper than british, but we already have Polter from overseas and he's still adapting and who knows how long that will last. We need striker who knows the country, knows the league and is ready to fill Charlie's boots right away. That will cost a little bit more, but if you wan't to win some football games you need a striker who knows where the net is. Who that might be who knows and who knows do we even go for a new strikers if/when Charlie is sold

How many did Charlie score during the end of last season?

If he can hit some form quickly, he'll be gone.
