I have to admit after our transfer activity last season I was positive we might finish one or two places outside the relegation zone on the way to Hull at home, I thought we did some great deals. This season the window hasn't shut but I think we will finish higher than the bottom 5 but too many unknowns for me to be as excited before the season starts.

We really won't be that poor to only finish above the bottom 5 though.
There's still a lot of quality in our squad compared to others, we won't be in the bottom half this season at all if we get our act together.

Last year I thought we would finish mid-table. This year I think we will get automatic promotion.
It normally takes about 3 games for reality to kick in. Except when we lost to Swansea 5-0 on the opening day. I really thought we would smash them

Henry was outstanding last season in quite a few games against some of the best midfielders in the world, and knows this League well so won't look out of place at all.
We still have Phillips, Chery looks like he could be a great signing along with Luongo as well.
There's a lot of quality in our squad that shouldn't have any excuses for any poor performances this season.
Hoillett needs to step up this season, he could be an asset for us if he could be bothered to show what he can do to earn his wages.
The only thing that worries me is that we need a striker when Austin leaves and a good one as well.
We need to get this sorted now, either sell him or just keep him for the last year of his contract and see what happens.
Afobe is favourite for Top Goalscorer this season, wolves only paid £2million for him as well.
I reckon we would get him for £8-9 million and would probably score just as many as Austin would.

Personally I think we are set up to be a stable mid table, possible push for top 10 side.
The players we have brought in are great in the fact it's within our clubs size, budget wise, low salaries, room to develop and make money, kind of what we done way back, Gallen, Impey, Les etc but I don't think these players are going to pull up any trees this season. They are decent, but it's not like we've brought the cream of the lower leagues.
Add to the fact we have a rookie manager, who albeit has a great philosophy and coaching pedigree is not experienced in management.
So for me I predict we'll finish 8-12th

I`m not too bothered where we finish this season, of course i`d love us to win it, or go back up, but being brutally honest we are in transition and are nowhere near ready to have another bash at the Prem.
My biggest hope for this season is that Ramsey instills a new "football philosophy" where we can get back to being the Rangers we all know & love on the pitch as well as off.

Last season I was certain we'd be safe, even pushing towards a mid table finish. At the time we made some blinding signings, with a few young internationals and some other promising signings. But imo it all came down to a whole season of bad management/training.... This season we've set up and made sensible signings not only for now but with the future in mind. Personally dont think we'll be near a promotion push come end of season, reckon more like mid table (which is fine by me). The only 1 niggling little bit of real doubt Ive got about this season is Ramsey. He comes across really well, talks a lot of sense and there was also a lot of talk that he trained the players really well last season. But I just struggle to trust him when it comes to actually managing. Would love to be proved wrong and I'll definitely give him a fair chance with 'his' players, BUT I cant help but feel a bit of doubt towards him.
So to answer question, I was 100% more confident last season (watch us walk the league now)SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!
