So it was perfectly OK for their chairman to spend his money on a shiny new stadium, which in turn allowed very decent attendances, which ensured that they weren't relegated back to League 1 where they belong?

Something that they could never have done by spending only the revenue that they generated themselves, having been kept afloat by said chairman for a few years previously.

Hmm, that seems reasonable. £90m plus, that cost. Funded by him and the usual "grants" that are on offer for building things.

    One rule for some, eh?

Our club should forward your message to the media outlet who published that.

The whole FFP thing seems pretty cut and dried to me.

Our lawyers are currently discussing the legality of FFP with the Football League's lawyers. If it is decided that the rules are legal (which I think is impossible) then we will be hammered. If they are found to be illegal, no doubt a compromise will be reached otherwise we'd take the Football League to court and FFP would have to be thrown out.
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

Haven't the FL recently changed the FFP rules, which means we'd have to be charged under the new rules?

And hasn't UEFA recently relaxed FFP rules?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

This Paul Barber mug is an absolute loose end. What the frig does he know about our finances? He just sounds jealous that we went up and they didn't. Pathetic.

Not particularly. Good chairman who's doing his best for his club, but Barber is a nobody.

Get good attendances now, to be fair, but I have to say that it's one of the most awkward grounds to get to that you'll ever experience. Seems ridiculous to me that they spent so long without a proper home due to persisting with Falmer, only to forget about the small matter of fans getting there. I think a few on here have experienced the farce.
