How long have people been slagging Hill off? I honestly don't understand why he feels so loyal to us tbh.

You could make the same argument about John Terry and Chelsea - they've spent 20x what we have in the last decade, but they've never found anyone to replace him....when it comes down to it, passion, commitment and desire are not just buzzwords - they still mean something in football.

We tried going down the route of signing apparently talented players, and it didn't work. Why? They didn't give an Eartha Kitt about the club.

Keep writing Clint off, and he'll keep proving you wrong.

Get what you're saying Surrey mate, really do. Hill's a Rangers legend imho, and 'nothing' will/should take that away from him.... And as much as you're right about JT bringing the same things to Chelski that CH brings to qpr (passion, commitment, desire) the 1 thing JT brings that CH doesnt (and this is hard to type and Im sure Im going to upset people) is quality..... If there was a player out there who was JTs double, we'd all take him.

Not sure who that is aimed at, can't be me but the fact you've compared Clint Hills talent to John Terry's is laughable mate.

The reason Terry has not been replaced is because he's the best CB in the country, year after year. Grit, determination etc etc will get you so far (Barton) Quality and talent is what keeps you there.

          Sadly true Nick.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Nobody's disputing what you say, or questioning his effort and desire etc, but passion, commitment and desire won't stop a good winger or forward from roasting him. Everyone in the crowd has those attributes but I wouldn't play them in defence.

No matter how much people like him, he's been on a clear decline for a few years now and if we have proper ambition we should've replaced him by now, and that's no fault of his.

Clint Hill and JT, same situation??? Couldn't be further apart.

I love CH and his passion and determination is second to none. He has got us out of the #### enough times and will do a job for us this year as a squad player. If we don't get a CB or two I think we could be in a bit of bother. The Championship will be strong this year and think Hill will struggle, he is not getting any younger and hasn't started a string of games for a while so expecting him to be a starting CB for the season will not be a good idea... IMO.

When did I say he makes endless errors??

You said "it's a f caking myth he makes errors" which is suggesting he doesn't make any which is deluded!

If you're going to spout off, don't put words in my mouth.

As for examples, you've since listed some yourself, but in addition there are countless clumsy needless tackles such as the one on Herrara at old Trafford when nowhere near goal and going backwards, which Di Maria scored from to set them on their way. As for one huge mistake, how about against Wigan in the play off 2nd leg where he stood still and let his man stroll in unopposed into the 6yard box for a tap in....?? Absolutely appalling defending which could have cost us our day at Wembley and the premier league altogether.

I can't be arsed to even try to go through all of them, and like you say, others make mistakes also. I didn't say he would let us down in the slightest, and would never question his endeavour, but he does make silly mistakes, is outwitted too often by a trick, and is far too slow for most attacking players. Personally I think it is ridiculous he has another extension.
Yawn. Wasn't playing f acking centre back against Wigan...... Clint said himself three years ago he's not up to playing LB in the PL. But he's better there that that t osser Traore. He turns out at LB when asked. And he certainly on a fraction of the wage of that t osser Traore. And for that I thank him, not criticise him. Of all the s hit that's worn the hoops in the past four years, Clint shouldn't be singled out for criticism......

Can you actually read properly? I haven't singled him out, and in the very last post said they've all made mistakes.

You singled him out initially with your laughable comment suggesting he doesn't make mistakes.... It's a myth you said! You've since contradicted yourself ffs.

Also, if you want to be pedantic, you want to talk down that abysmal effort against Wigan, because he was LB not CB... It makes no difference when it's basic stuff. All he had to worry about was his man and he messed up.

You then try to justify such a ridiculous comment by stating even Clint himself said previously he wasn't up to playing LB in the Premier League...... Well that was a Championship play off semi final, funnily enough, in the ####ing Championship, not the Premier league. So was he not up to Championship standard at LB then either, 2 yrs ago... If so I'd be pretty certain he isn't up to it now in either position.

Clint is a legend and everyone here loves him but truth is he shouldn't be first choice CB anymore.

Decent backup for the season and the occasional start at some horrible places up north that he will love to get stuck in but that's it.

Keep knocking yourself out, mate. You might as well be writing in Serbo Croat for all the impact it has on me. Good for Clint for being a team player. I consider myself and my club very fortunate to have had him in the squad these past four years. I look forward to cheering him on when he's asked to come help us out this season. He will always do his best. And that, pal, cuts him the biggest slack from me.

This I agree with. But there's no one presently who he can be back up to is there....? Ned isn't a better CB than Clint. He ought be, being younger. He needs a run in the team in that position (not freaking right back). We need to bring at least two CBs in. I would have kept the wretched Caulker.

Lets be honest, Clint is only a legend because of all the sh1te we've had here in the past 4 years...

                              I do love him though.

The list of players having got 2 promotions to the Premier League with Qpr is a very short one. Bloke gives 100% to the cause every single time. A legend in any era for Qpr is our Clint.
