Wrong, lots of good 'hungry' players in there that could do a great job in the championship (especially QPR), example of this was Ross McCormack

Wasnt trying to knock Scottish football Aberdeen but Championship is a better league than the Scottish prem on multiple levels. I used to go to a lot of games at Pittodrie years ago (due to family), back in the days of Ebbe Skovdahl and Zerouali

Well he's got more experience and more goals than any of our strikers have or will ever get in their career at a good level. Grego cox will end up at a conference side

Bloke hasn't scored a goal in 18 months.......that should answer your question!

Scottish Premier league, which for the last few years has literally had one competent team who should batter the pub team opposition..... yeah great level that!! Even there he only has 1 in 3. He is utter garbage.

I'm not sure signing up a retired tennis player is the way to go. Although some people have swapped sports and done well.

So. Sign him up and give him a bundle of bunce #rightsort

Really? Is that why other teams have won cup competitions in recent seasons over there ? Didn't see many people say this about hooper when he was at Celtic

                          Great example!

How's Hooper (who scored a bag load of goals up there) fared since moving to England?

Haha, couldn't stand Sampras and don't like Samaras much either.

Got his sort in Polter already. Don't need another waster sitting on the bench picking up ££££££!

I would seriously prefer to have Pete Sampras playing up front than Samaras....

I've said plenty of times when Hooper's names come up that he isnt worh tthe inflated fees mentioned at the time. He was great at Scunthorpe but his career stalled by going to the Scottish Prem. If he'd stayed in England he would've become a much better player imo. Instead going up there playing for Celtic and he didnt need to imporve and therefore when he tried to come back south struggled massively.

You want the best example, then i give you Kris Boyd who scored insanely for Rangers and averaged a goal every 1.4 games or something, in other words it was very easy for him in that league in a top side... He then came to the Championship, not even premier league, and averaged about 1 in 4.5 games, didnt really do anything and got sent out on loan before being shipped back to Scotland where he started to get some goals again.

That just proves the huge gulf between the SPL and the English leagues. So if a player that prolific struggled so much in England's 2nd tier, the stats for Samaras if he came would end up making Zamora's goal record impressive.
