That's perfect, another loan will do him no harm at all

Teams will have seen what he is capable of in some of our pre-season games and decided they like the look of him, especially league one clubs

Wont take no nonsense from the opposition strikers that lot

Perch Ned Jonas Olsson Konchelsky That would be a very physical backline.

Yun - Injured all summer. no one seems to know how or for how much longer. If back tomorrow, he'll need weeks to get match fit.

Traore - Injured, Bad egg, Liability in defence, Better going forward but lives off the memory of 2 good crosses - Destined to go ASAP.

Robinson - Injured until September (last I heard officially), possibly longer, certainly will need longer to get match fit, maybe Xmas. That's if he ever recovers fully ! I doubt many on this board (or others) have seen him play or know how good he is. Likewise Ramsey. General expectation that 'he must be good coz we gave Liverpool £1m for him ?'

Hill - Said 4 years ago he can't play LB anymore and finally it seems like we've stopped asking him. CB cover from now on only.

Kpekawa - Good prospect, but clearly CR/LF don't see him as ready for the Championship level just yet. I agree a loan is likely once Yun is fully fit.

So, for me, Konchesky is a good signing, minimal cost, gives 100% and will tied us over for 1 season until Yun, Robinson & Kpekawa find their natural standings in the future. Leciester fans may be glad to see him go, but they are in the Premiership and we're not.

Hopefully, we'll get £2m loan fee for Fer, bring in a CB & a GK and we're good for Charlton. IMO

I agree he is probably more reliable but I would still prefer to have Yun and Kpekawa in the side. Left back was not a priority area to adress. Centre back needs sorting out as does centre forward options. Austin will go, and so he needs replacing now. If for whatever reason he doesnt then QPR will have much needed back up and options.

Edit - having read through the injured options this was a good position to address and Konchesky fits the bill.

Put like that I agree PK is a good signing. i have to disagree about Hill ad CB cover, because as of today, he is one of only 2 CBs at the club. Hopefully a decent CB will be signed before the season starts.

Yes full credit to him for that.

Looks 50/50 to be fair. Which probably means he could do an ok job for us at this level.

Absolutely essential Stan. In fact, I hope we sign 2 good CB's ASAP, making Clint 4th choice cover.
Problem is we have no youth options at CB since Ehmer, Donaldson left.
