Alcohol pitch side is too far gone - can never happen. Due to it being so long since it was allowed people's pre match rituals are set. They wouldn't cut out the pre game drinks but would just power through which would lead to more intoxication.
I do think terraces should come back (controlled, obviously) but alcohol during the game? As said, wait 90mins or if you can't get one at halftime. It really isn't worth the hassle changing the ruling.

All day i got kicked out during the everton game for drinking their pizz weak carlesbreg in the stand, the law on not being able to drink within site of a football pitch is beyond ambigious the steward were similar to evangelist robo cops, and should probably kill them selves. the whole thing was incredibly embarrising because i came with my dad however, im anything but a trouble maker i just enjoy drinking and bought my drinks from the stands, diddn't smuggle anything in. i know qpr's a family club, but id love to live in a free society were youre not treated as a scum bag jut for going to a football game. if anypne went to the barnet game it was great; a selection of beer cider and spirits at a reasonable price because it doubles as a rugby ground. its a contradiction that qpr's supposed to be family friendly good club that youre treateated like a scum bag when you arrive

But, there's no way drinking will be allowed during matches at all.

Not suggesting consumption of large volumes of booze but currently if your a fan who has not had a drink all day get to ground late and just fancy a bottle while watching the game your prevented from doing so due to the behaviour of fans what 20years ago???
Every other sporting event allows drinking while watching you can even drink at the cinema now
I personally would not drink during game as have a drink before and after but thought it's an interesting discussion
