  • Full back situation looking dire

Young Furlong may improve, but at the moment we have only Yun who is good enough at left back, for me 2 right backs and 1 left back urgently required.

Plus at least 1 more centre back and 1 top class forward, lots of good signs tonight but still a fair way to go

Anton Tinnerholm, RB, Malmo FF, 24 yrs old. Swedish international who would be perfect for us.

They definitely need to sign some defenders because not only do they need FBs they need CBs too. Hill is no longer capable of being a back up choice for LB and maybe not even CBs.
If Austin leaves, at least 2 strikers will also be needed. I think a minimum of 3 establised strikers are needed so that we don't go through a season like the one 2 seasons ago whete Austin Zamora and Johnson were the only options. Zamora was already injured and Johnson only fit to play for around 30 mins.

Agree about right back and centre half but left back covered. We have Yun, Traore (some might not like him but he was fairly regular for Arsenal a few years ago), Donaldson will be fit by Christmas and Hill can fill in the odd game.

I agree about right back but if Charlie leaves we just need to replace him we don't need two imo.

Furlong needs a loan period I think.. Was excited to see him in his first game at Hull but the games against AFC and CPFC knocked his confidence, playing against Bolasie and Sanchez is a tough task but with no cover, not a hope. Hope it will work out for him.

Hill, love the geez but he isn't very good, even for cover. The Championship is strong this season and I can see him struggling. Throw a few Reds in the mix as well.

Yun.... Jury is out on him, very up and down last season and shocking towards the end. Let's hope he can do the buSiness.

                Any others?

Stainrod assume you mean Robinson not Donaldson think furlong is a bit raw however I personally think he will do ok after all the championship doesn't have players like bollasie and wingers that operate in the premier.would however be worried about the central defence if it contained the number 14 schorch as I didn't think he looked very good still it's only pre season.

                        THIS

We have had many seasons going F'ing hell we need another striker or 2. Unfortunately we seem to be in a similar position.

And obviously defence was messed up with Mr Liars plan to play 3 at the back. Very happy with the midfield, very happy with (albeit only via youtube and trawling dutch forums) Chery. JET looks like a nutter and love a nutter.

The Austin situ really worries me.

                          Agree with all of that.

Personally I think Yun will make the left back position his own this season. We also have Jack Robinson to come back mid season and he'll walk straight in at this level. With Cole Kpekawa as backup and Traore hanging around like a fart in an elevator I think we're ok at left back.

The rest of the back 4 is a worry, beyond Caulker and the Chief we only have Hill as cover at Centre Half and as many have pointed out I think this season might be one too many for him (arguably 2 too many actually). I also don't trust that Caulker will still be here, alright he didn't impress last season but there are bound to be a few cheeky bids from bottom half Premiership sides before the end of the window. Right back is even more of a worry, only Darnell Furlong and Harriman who has been loaned out til January. I don't even think we have any decent youths for cover at right or centre back.

Lots of work to do yet!

Lots of work for Sir Les to do to give QPR a strong defence. Good cover will be needed as it id a long season. Injuries and suspensions mean 4 CBs and 4 FBs are required.so far LB seems to be the only position that might be covered with Yun Traore and Kpekawa with Robinson to add later.

Why on earth was Harriman sent on loan when we only have the inexperienced Furlong at RB? They must surely have a new signing lined up in that position, otherwise those two should have been battling that position out.

We're fine at LB, but we're also shot of a CB, and probably a GK once McCarthy leaves.

And as usual we're very overloaded in midfield (not necessarily a criticism assuming players can all be kept happy).
