Aren't we due nigh on £20 mil in parachute money next season? Our wages are clearly OTT by Championship standards but they're sort of inline with our income as a relegated team. The tv money plus the Sterling bounty plus fee(s) for Charlie or whoever would possibly see us turn a profit!?

I posted this a while back: http://www.wearetherangersboys.com/f...-flops-earning
Some of the numbers in the posts above appear to be incorrect. I think these numbers are close (not too hard to find on the internet and no reason to believe those numbers are not close to the mark):
- Green: 50kpw
- Onuoha: 55kpw
- Hoilett: 50kpw
- Diakite: 45kpw
- Sandro: 60kpw
- McCarthy: 15kpw
- Caulker: 33kpw
- Traore: 40kpw
- Henry: 15kpw
= 363kpw (£19m per year) and that is only nine players! We will be paying at least 25 and in the past have paid many others who did not make the final 25.
As has been pointed out though, some of those numbers may be reduced a bit by relegation clauses.
My guess is the final PLAYER wage bill (a portion of the wage bill given in the financials) will be around £40m (which is absolutely ridiculous for a Championship club with ticket and sponsorship revenues of around £10m total if we are lucky).Last edited by dsqpr; 19-07-2015, 05:18 AM.'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. In fact I've been told by somebody close to the club that Onouha's salary is that high that he would have had to take a pay cut if he had left the club this summer as none of the interested parties would have been prepared to match what we are paying him.
This whole thread is based on assumptions and very unlikely to be anywhere near accurate in terms of the actual wage bill at the club!
