As much as I don't want to see Austin or McCarthy leave, if we get the £15million for Austin and Palace trigger the £3.5million release clause in McCarthys contract we could have £18.5million to play with!!

£18.5 million, would that be enough to get Afobe, Andre Gray and Nathan Byrne?

You seem to forget we have books to balance and regulations to meet. If we did sell any collective group of players the money made wouldn't all go in the transfer kitty.

And as for keepers, if selling anyone, getting Greems £50k a week wages off the bill and letting McCarthy take the number 1 spot would make more sense.

I think the 60mil we get each year for the next three years should balance the books. I can see more players going than the two you have mentioned. If Charlie is going lets get rid now and build the squad long before the window closes

We have to face reality, Austin is going so the sooner he goes the better to make money available for transfers, ditto Phillips & Fer.

Austin has been a legend for us, sad that he will go but he has to move onto pastures new and improve his England chances. If we get 10 mill for Phillips then that is good business, I like Fer but if he was to stay then I could not see him hacking it in the championship, mysterious injuries would soon start creeping in. McCarthy I would like to see stay but looks likes Green is not going anywhere so if we can make a profit let him go and bring in another up and coming keeper.

Cant wait for the away games to come in the North West, new season new hope and all that - hope the anticipation is not a distant memory come October. I think we will push for the tail end of the play offs.

Unsure of Ramsey for the up coming season, but our last two so called established managers were shocking, give Ramsey a chance with a full pre season, his players and see what happens.

For Sir Stanley Bowles of Shepherds Bush come on U Rs

I thought this was going to be about some bloodletting at each corner flag to cure the QPR curse!

Mate I kind of agree with you and think we will definitely reinvest the money. Let's remember we got 8.8 mill coming from sterling to so as you say we have 27.5 mill potentially coming our way.

It would be stupid to just splash all that and we won't. But we could spend 10-12 mill and bank 15. 12 mill would get you byrne, potentially either gray, afobe or gayle but not two of them. Wed have some money left for a defensive recruit as well.

We will also more than likely get more money for fer and potentially sandro. I'm a believer we will reinvest and more than people think. However if we get 40 mill in over the summer the. I hope we bank 20-25 mill.

What about the 'debt' everyone goes on about, surely the 'debt' we owe is getting massive interest and the people we owe it to are screaming for their dough back?

I work in Corporate Banking for a pretty big bank here in the US. I believe that was just an accounting trick writing off the 60MM in loans. Meaning they don't expect to collect on those loans and are put in non accrual. So not incurring interest. Just looking for principal back and doesn't necessarily mean they are even expecting regular principal payments on time. But, with the loan being from the main shareholders, they can still pull out dividends from the Cash flows the club generates to help pay down that debt. To me, just really means they aren't expecting interest payments back on the loans and they don't have to be paid back on a certain schedule.

UK accounting is different than US accounting so their could be differences in language and little rules that could be different making the situation different. I do know that if we as the bank write off a loan, that means we are not expecting to collect interest and are just hoping to get as much of the principal back as possible.

cincy... all loans via the shareholders are at 0% interest

I'm not sure it's quite as much as that? I thought it was approx 64 million in total but spread over four years?

                              Something like:

                              Year 1 = 24.5 (million)
                              Year 2 = 19.5
                              Year 3 = 9.5
                              Year 4 = 9.5
